Today is something a bit different for me, Chantele has been working with Crabtree and Evelyn for a few years now, reviewing their new products on her blog. So when a new Men’s range was launched Chantele was also given a few items for me to use and review for a change. These included the Moroccan Myrrh body wash and shaving cream. I tend to stick to the usual suspects when it comes to shower gel and shaving products, so its nice to be given something new to try.
First impressions with a name like Moroccan Myrrh would usually stop me from picking it up, it kinda reminds me of old spice which is the other end of the spectrum from what I usually buy, which is generally anything blue or green as it usually indicate the type of scent I like.
The Moroccan Myrrh was nothing like the stereotype of old man old spice, but of a more sophisticated “I’m wearing a suit and going out somewhere fancy” kind of a smell. One big squeeze and some water and I was feeling fresh and clean, and smelling good! It didn’t take much work to get it lathered up, which is great because I’m an ‘in and out’ kinda guy and at the same time it didn’t require a lot of product to get the job done.
I don’t tend to shave very often as I have very sensitive skin on my neck, and when I do I use the shaving foams aimed at such skin. So with a decent amount of stubble I lathered on the Moroccan Myrrh shaving cream and gave it a whirl. It definitely helped give a smooth, slightly moisturised shave leaving my skin smooth and rash free, and of course smelling great.
Chantele loves the scent on me, which is another plus point! I will definitely be using up all of my sample, and possibly nipping into store to pick up some more of the Shower Gel.
