This months degustabox has arrived!! Yay! So if you haven’t seen one of my Desgutabox posts before or haven’t heard of Degustabox they are a monthly food subscription box. Each month you receive a box of food and drink goodies, usually new products or new brands to the UK. They are a complete mixture of items so you never know what you might get
Yay so its the final day of my 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways, which means we are half way through December and xmas is just a few days away! Eek! And I think I saved the most fun giveaway till last, so who wants to win an entire hamper of fresh lean meat?? We received this MuscleFood box a few weeks back to review and work on some recipes with, my freezer is still packed, and all the meat we have tried so far has been so tasty with almost no fat coming off it. So far we have eaten the burgers, some bacon, chicken portions, beef mince and chicken meatballs and all have been delicious!
This last month seems to have flown by, Christmas is approaching super fast and it’s time for another Degustabox review! Honestly the day I get the text from DPD telling me what time my Degustabox will be being delivered is my favourite day of the month, and I hate it if I am out and have to hope my neighbours are in to take the box or I have to wait an extra day or 2 to have it redelivered! This month its the Christmas box so I had all my fingers crossed for some tasty treats as last years Christmas box was awesome.
If you fancy getting your own box don’t forget to use our code to get £7 off your first box! Bargain!! Use code: ’65K3Q’ here!! Continue reading →

This is another recipe using something from my Musclefood lean meat hamper, this time the low fat bacon medallions which had almost no traces of fat. If your on Slimming World this bacon would be Syn Free as would this whole recipe. This is such a super simple recipe that makes for a great slimming world breakfast when you fancy something hot and filling to get you through till lunch time. Continue reading →
Last week I received a Musclefoods 100 Piece Ultimate Slimming Lean Meat Hamper and it has literally filed up 2 drawers of my freezer! There is so much meat it will keep me an Jon going for quite a while. I shan’t name everything that came in the box as there was lots (if you’d like to see what the 100 piece bit contains you can check out the link above) but it did contain a ridiculous amount of huge chicken breast portions, 2 packs of chicken meatballs, chicken and sweet chilli burgers (which Jon has already cooked and really enjoyed!), 1 massive packs of mince, a number of steaks and lots more.
Once I saw the chicken meatballs I knew they were one of the first things I wanted to test out as we love meatballs, but have never had lean chicken ones before, and I knew I wanted to do something different with them instead of the usual tomato sauce. So I thought we would try a healthy sweet and sour sauce for them. This recipe is based on a Slimming World Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe with a few tweaks. Continue reading →
Did you happen to see me going live on Facebook this week? Yep I filmed a little unboxing video for this months Degustabox but instead of popping it on YouTube I thought we could try a Facebook live stream instead. Here it is if you’d like to see it (plus go follow our FB page so you can see even more of our photos and videos!) Today I am review what we received in this months box and if you make it to the bottom of the post you’ll see a nice Degustabox discount code for you all, so you can try it for yourself!
We will do doing a few more live streams now I think as it’s a great way to do a bit of vlogging whilst on the go! So here is what we got in the Autumn Degustabox!
So our July Degustabox arrived a few days ago and I thought I would do something a little different and film an unboxing video instead of my usual post. I swear half the fun in getting a subscription box is opening it and finding the surprises instead, of course the other half of the fun with a Degustabox is eating everything in it! hehe! So check out the video to see what we received this month and see below for our review of the items we have now tested out! Continue reading →
Yay it’s that time of the month again, Degustabox delivery! Yum!! It’s probably my favourite bit of mail to receive (sorry penpals!) so I always get excited when I get the text telling me my box will be delivered the next morning. There is nothing more fun than opening a box of random edibles, you just never know what you are going to get, but I can always guarantee that there will be a few things me and Jon will both love and a few we won’t be so keen on, but thats the fun bit!
If the whole Degustabox concept is new to you check out one of my other reviews or take a peek at their website – plus if you fancy testing it out yourself then my reader discount code can get you an awesome £6 off!! Use code ‘BLDEG15′.
So here is what was in the February Degustabox and what we thought of it, plus at the end you’ll find a my carrot juice bread recipe (for the bread maker!) using the James White British Carrot Juice I received in the box. It’s something a little different and inventive, but it turned out yummy! Continue reading →
If you’ve been following our twitter or Instagram feed you will know we have been on a little break to Scotland over the past week, and you will have seen some of the places we have visited and more importantly what we have been eating! Hehe! Me and Jon try to visit at least once a year as my aunt lives there in a little place called Auchterarder, which is right next to Gleneagles. This time we visited with my sister and her boyfriend and stayed in The Eagles Rest, which is a lodge park just on the outskirts of the village – I’ll review that at a later date, but today I wanted to do a quick review and sing the praises of one of our favourite places to eat when we visit the area which is The Jar Jar!
