We took the choice early on when we bought our house that we wanted to keep all the walls white. We don’t have an issue with colour, in-fact we love a bold pop of bright unexpected colour, but we love the clean fresh look white walls give, and the ability it gives us to change the look of the room easily by adding or removing accessories rather than having to re-decorate the entire room. Interesting furniture and decor pieces stand out more against simple white walls too, making the most of your home accessories.
These homes use white walls as the base for their beautiful interior design choices, and all pull off stunningly cohesive rooms using a mixture of fabrics and textures alongside pops of colour and metallic accents. These are rooms when white walls really work and I hope I will be able to pull this off in our home too. These are truly inspirational rooms, showing how layering, monochrome, furs and textures add life and elegance to a simple white room. (Above: Country Eclectic Rustic Bedroom via Lonny)

How do you feel about white walls? Got any design tips to help make white walls really work? Are you more of a fan of adding colour pops, or sticking with a monochromatic look. I feel Black and White is such a strong design choice but I also love the idea of just one bright colour to draw attention. Although layering piles of cozy furs on a sofa and accents of metallic is definitely a favourite.
Thanks very nice blog!
