Guest Post from Rhian Westbury – Top 5 New Beauty Products I’ve Discovered this Summer

New Beauty ProductsToday I am handing over the blog to Rhian from Rhian Westbury. I don’t pretend to know anything about make-up and beauty products, I am far from being a beauty blogger, but I am a girl so every now and again I do enjoy finding a new lip or testing out a new mascara. Todays blog post is about the Top 5 new beauty products Rhian has found and loved this summer.

Over to Rhian…

Every girl loves a bit of makeup and I love discovering new brands and products, so much so I am having to stop myself from buying new products as I’ll never use them all up! Here are 5 of the top things i’ve discovered this summer:

Soap and Glory nude lipstick – I have been looking for a good nude lipstick for ages and having tried various brands Soap and Glory have won the battle. The lipstick has a slight pigment of colour and is so nourishing that it really made my lips feel moisturised. At £9 the lipstick is a worthwhile investment for everyday wear.

Stila black glitter eyeliner – My going out makeup doesn’t change much compared to my day to day make up, but I do love adding a bit of sparkle to my eyes. The Stila black glitter eyeliner is perfect as it adds a glimmer to my liner without looking too over the top. I tend to layer this on top of my normal eyeliner once it’s dried for a darker look but it works just as well on it’s own.

Famous by Sue Moxley shimmer brick in Pink – This shimmer brick blusher is one I picked up on Fragrance Direct and for just a few pounds I wasn’t expecting much. I got a lot more than I bargained for and got an item I use really often. The blusher is a mixture of shimmery pinks but the great thing about the colour is none of them are too pink, or too bright. And the shimmer is only subtle so I can still wear it on a day-to-day basis.

Loreal Paris Miss Manga punky mascara – I have tried quite a lot of mascara’s and never bought the same one twice- until now! Not only is the Loreal Paris Miss Manga punky mascara amazing at making my lashes look full, but it’s so reasonably priced. At full price it’s about £8 which is a steal considering that it’s better than some premium mascara’s. The tiny brush means it can get right into the corner of my lashes and the mascara doesn’t glop up on the end of the fibres like some other mascara’s do.

Soap and glory liquid eyeliner – I have used gel eyeliners for so long that when I decided to try this liquid eyeliner I forgot how easy they were to use. This thin line pen is easy to grip and it feels just like a felt tip pen. The reason I moved from liquid to gel liners in the first place was because of their durability but this Soap and Glory liner is really long lasting and now one of my staple everyday products.

Thanks to Rhian for such a great post, that Stila Eyeliner looks right up my street.

What new beauty products have you found recently? Anything stand out?
