Tiny Stitched Heart Card DIY
You don’t have to be great with a sewing machine to make these stitched heart cards I found on Little Birdie Secrets. This little DIY is so simple yet the cards are very eyecatching and pretty. You can use any scraps of paper or fabric, so it is great for using up the little scrappy bits left over from other projects. Although they are meant as Valentines Day cards they could be used any time of year.
Button Heart Valentines Day Card Tutorial
I found this Button Heart Valentines Day Card DIY on KWernerDesign Blog. Most of us have pots of buttons lying around, spares from clothing that has long since been donated to the charity shop, or you can pick them up pretty cheap in thrift/charity shops, or ask your family if they have any you can use. I think this is a great use for spare buttons, and could be done in any colour combination to suit any occasion not just Valentines Day.
Foxy Valentine Gift Box or Card DIY
This is a totally awesome craft I found over on Paper Source Blog. Technically it’s a favour box base design that they have turned into this really cute Foxy Valentine Gift box/card. It makes a great card but you can also put some cute little gifts in it too. Maybe some sweeties or little chocolates, or if it’s a gift for a lady this would be a totally cute jewellery box. It would be great for any other occasion too!
Dotty Heart Valentine Day Card Crafts
I found this fun dotty heart Valentines Day Card Craft over on The Crafty Crow Blog. It is another really simple craft yet produces a beautiful card at the end. Plus this is one the kids would really enjoy making to. Let the children make the paint dots on the paper and help you turn it into a card. Very pretty and girly. This technique could be used to do lots of other shapes too, in any colour, for any occasion.
Opening Heart Valentines Card Tutrial
I found this brilliant opening heart valentines day card craft on a wordpress blog called Pine Is Here. This one was my favourite but she also has about 5 other Valentines Day Crafts, amongst lots of other stunning card DIY’s. This little heart actually splits open so you can hide a secret little message to your loved one inside. It’s a slightly more advanced craft than the others on here, but it is totally worth the extra work.
Literary Quote Cards
This isn’t actually a DIY I just love the idea, I found the card on Pinterest (with no link annoyingly!) You could stamp the letters with any set of Alphabet stamps and put any literary character name at the end, depending on what you or your valentine like to read. Here are just a few suggestions:
- I love you more than Edward
- I love you more than Christian
- I love you more than Gideon
- I love you more than Mr Darcy
You get the idea! You could even do ones for children too – I love you more than Paw Patrol maybe?
