Todays post is all about one of my favourite independent British kids brands, Ada & Alfred, run by blogger Alex from Lamb & Bear.
So before I start talking about Ada & Alfred I want to ask you a quick question, what are your favourite independent British kids brands? I am always looking for new brands to dress Elian in and I love being able to share some of our favourite brands on here, so go leave me a comment if there is a brand you particularly love for your littles…now on with todays post.
You may have seen me mentioning Ada & Alfred (or Alex’s previous brand Lamb & Bear) over on my Facebook page or on our Instagram feed in the past as I’ve been dressing Elian in Alex’s designs for a while now. The first item I bought was her Lamb & Bear babygrow, then the raging rhino and snow leopard leggings, and most recently the two tees in these photos (plus we have 2 other t-shirts I’ve no doubt you will see in the future in Insta).
I adore her fun and unique designs and the quality of her products is amazing. As a parent of a toddler, how well a piece of clothing washes has never been so important to me, and believe me these 2 t-shirts are some of my fav items in his wardrobe so have been washed at least a dozen times already and look like the day they arrived. And I’m not being paid to promote Ada & Alfred, I promise, I have bought ever item with my own money, mostly at full price! Plus I own 2 of her mama wear items too (that tea & Triumph jumper I lived in this winter, yep thats Ada & Alfred too) and Jon even has a Super Dad t-shirt of hers! Lol! Were a family who shop together.
I love being able to support other business women and independent British kids brands like Ada & Alfred. Shopping from independent brands is becoming quite important to me. As a business owner myself I know how difficult it can be to run a business in this day and age, with all the competition there is out there, the cheap throw away fashion culture, and all the different avenues of advertising you need to be on top of, it can be really hard to reach your target audience and to make a business work. But I am super proud to be able to call Alex a friend (and to be friends with many other amazing self employed and creative business women) and to be able to support her in reaching her business dreams. So this little blog post is just my way of helping out a fellow business women by campaigning the amazing products she is designing and selling.
So enough of me preaching about independent British kids brands and the benefit shopping local, shopping British and shopping handmade, I hope you enjoy all the photos of my dude in his awesome Ada & Alfred t-shirts, which we took during our Bluestone trip.
