Ok, so if you’ve been reading the blog a while, watched the vlog, seen my Facebook account or my Insta stream your likely to know that I am a long term breastfeeder. Elian is now 17 months and we are still feeding and I am totally cool with it at the moment. He was combination fed from birth to make returning to shooting weddings when he was just 5 weeks old that bit less stressful. He had formal when with grandparents and breastfeed when with me. I genuinely never thought I would make it past 6 months if I’m honest, let alone still be going when we are 18 months. But I love it and so does he.
If you know anyone who is breastfeeding longer than the first 6 weeks, or planning to breastfeed long term, what you may have noticed is that they have very strong feelings about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is really hard work, especially in the start and most mums who breastfeed are super proud that they did or are breastfeeding (that isn’t in any way shaming formula mums, it’s just quite an achievement to manage to breastfeed for any extended length of time). So at this time of year a really thoughtful gift for any mum who is breastfeeding is a little breastfeeding related items. As I have made it past my 1 year mark, Jon has bought me a breastmilk bead for my pandora bracelet to mark the milestone. I can’t wait to receive it and it is something I will treasure forever.
If someone in your life is breastfeeding, considering one of the gifts below as it will show your support for their decision and it’s a thoughtful, and in some cases useful gift.
Useful Items
Anything that makes breastfeeding easier or more comfortable will always bee a big hot with a breastfeeding mum! Ok so some of these items might not be that glamorous but honestly I would have loved to have received any of these when I started my breastfeeding journey.
‘This Side Next’ Breastfeeding Reminder Bracelet / Nursing Cover (if they use one) / Reusable Breast Pads / Nursing Scarf (if they use one) / Breastfeeding dress
Teething/Fiddle Jewellery
I have found my teething necklaces to be totally invaluable when feeding Elian now that he is more aware. Let’s just say he gets very handsy now! Whether its playing with my hair, pulling off my glasses, putting his fingers in my mouth or dare I say it nipple tweaking (which I don’t allow!!!) Wearing a fiddle or teething necklace has minimised so much of this and I still wear one most days as it makes feeding lots easier. My favourite is my Black and Beech necklace but I actually have 3 different ones to match my outfits! Here are some beautiful ones if you think this might make a great gift for someone you know.
Personalised Teething Bracelet / Grey Teething Necklace / HexNex Silicon Necklace / Feather Teething Necklace / Silicon and Wooden Teething Necklace
Milestone Markers
Making it to 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or beyond is a massive achievement for any breastfeeding mum. Most of us take it in little stages and are just thankful when we make the next stage. A little reminder of our hard work and achievement can be hugely appreciated and loved.

Funny Items
And of course I had to finish this off with a few of the funnier items you can find online. I have kept to the PG rated ones but you can find some naughtier versions on some of these shops. I am in love with the liquid gold pin if I’m honest and think I will be ordering one in the new year with any xmas money I get!
Haters Gonna Hate Mug / Free the Boobs Pin / Milk Maker Jumper / Titfaced Baby Vest / Liquid Gold Pin Badge
So there you have it! A whole host of wonderful breastfeeding gifts that I am sure any breastfeeding mum would love this Christmas
Don’t forget to share and pin this post so you can find it later!
