When you’ve lost a loved one finding ways to honour and remember them during the holiday seasons can be super important. So I wanted to compile a list of beautiful commemorative gifts that you can purchase either as a gift for a friend or family member who has lost someone, or purchase for yourself to help make the person you’ve lost part of your holiday celebrations.

Personalised Oak Photo Cube *
Photos of your loved ones your home is a beautiful way to include them in your day to day life and allow you to remember them. This lovely personalised oak photo cube from The Personalised Gift Shop is just perfect for allowing you to have some extra little photos on display. And the box itself is hollow so it can even be used to store some precious items of your loved one. The box is beautiful quality and looks lovely on display in our home within Ebben’s corner.
Personalised Silver Star Paper Weight *
I just loved this simple silver star paper weight from The Gift Experience. Its personalised for us with Ebben’s name and date of birth but any text or message could be added to this. This paper weight is beautiful and comes in a lovely little box too, making it a really great gift. Perfect for someones desk or work place as a gently reminder that their loved one is always with them.
Personalised Engraved Memory Box
An official memory box to store items from your loved one is really important. To store all our precious items that remind us of Ebben we chose this stunning personalised box from Dust and Things. It is just so beautiful. The engraving could be completely customised to say exactly what we wanted it to, and it honestly means the world to us. This box is well made and comes in a number of different sizes depending on what you wish to store in it. These make great memory boxes for everyone, and Dust and Things have tonnes of other boxes and wooden items to chose from too.
Finger Print (or hand/foot print) Pendant
This is hands down the most important and precious item that I own. Both boys have actually touched these beautiful silver pendants I have from Smallprint. Obviously a finger print isn’t always an option but print jewellery can be made from ink handprints or footprints also (or you can have handwriting engraved on jewellery also) Something you can wear daily as a constant connection with a loved one can make the perfect gift and will be so loved by the recipient.
Personalised Star Christmas Decorations
I found these beautiful personalised star Christmas decorations on Nina Thomas Studio. For many people, not just us, they often connect lost loved ones with stars, so these decorations were just perfect. I obviously got one for both boys as I think they will look beautiful on our Christmas tree, and we have a lot of personalised decorations now. These are made of a frosted perspex that is just great as its very durable, and it looks so pretty with twinkly fairy lights behind them. You can chose different colour text and ribbon to suit your taste too.
Forever Loved Jumper
Of course I couldn’t write this guide without including our beautiful The Tired Mama Collection and Stars for Ebben collaboration Forever Loved Jumper. We still have some left before we hit our 100 jumper target, so if you have a loved one who would love this jumper please go order one. £10 from every sale goes towards the #StarsForEbben fund to help support the bereaved parents room at Singleton Hospital. This is perfect for all parents as it is a sentiment that resonates with everyone, our children are forever loved whether they are here in our arms or forever in our hearts. Plus the jumper can be personalised with a name or initials on the wrist, just like mine!
