I could smell the Lemongrass and Peppermint Soap bar when I opened the box, and it came beautifully packaged in a cotton bag, making it perfect for gifting. The Body Butter is thick and creamy but absorbed well into my skin, leaving it silky smooth and smelling divine! She also has a mens range too!

Gifts for Readers

I’ve been lucky enough to have been sent a lovely collection of awesome books for this years Christmas gift guides. 2 of which I have already read and I’m started on another!

First up up 2 wonderful festive reads from author Abiola Bello. These are both YA novels but just as good for adults. They are both super sweet and heart warming romances. Easy reads that are perfect to curl up with on a winters evening and enjoy. Love in Winter Wonderland and Only for the Holidays

Catalog of Desire and Disappearance by Ana Cruz follows the story of Ana Wolf a quiet librarian, who finds a 1980s diary of Gabriella Meyers, a daring sex therapist living in the communist East Berlin who has disappeared. It’s a story packed with love, resilience, defiance, and the enduring power of the human spirit. With a sprinkling of spice!

Bright Midnights by LS Delorme is the second in The Limerent Series, but each story is independent so you don’t have to read them in order. Bright Midnights focuses on the story of teenager Amelie who has an ‘allure’ that attracts people to her, often with tragic consequences. But in her dreams she travels time and space and she find a real connection and love with Clovis in her dreams. An intriguing story of how love can transcend space and time.

Sarah Needs Saving  and Emily’s Algarve Escape are two great fast paced family dramas by author DCR Bond. Sarah Needs Saving is a story about how far a woman will go to save her family in the face of a shocking secret. And Emily’s Algarve Escape follows the Ellis family’s move to a luxury resort in Portugal in search of a new life but all doesn’t go according to plan. Both are brilliant easy holiday reads that you can get really stuck in to.

Hellalyle and Hildebrand by Tagai Tarutin is a historical tale of love and sacrifice, of courage and redemption. It transports readers to a distant time and place. Set in a land near the Baltic and Kievan Rus, where an innocent young noblewoman named Hellalyle resides. Known for her unmatched beauty and grace. She defies her father by falling for a knight who is meant to be protecting her, resulting in a tragic turn of events for both the soldier and the princess.

So many of us are trying to de-clutter and organise our space these days. With the popularity of Marie Kondo and Stacey Soloman promoting organising our homes and ridding yourself of unused items, The Secret Life of Clutter looks at the psychology behind our clutter and our home. Helen Sanderson tells the stories of a number of her clients, revealing some profound insights into human nature and the way our mind and home are interwoven.

If your a fan of dystopian novels this new trilogy from C.L.Lauder will be right up your street. The Quelling is the first book in the Quelling Trilogy. In a world where if you’re Stained patches of your skin glistens and you become a target for the overlord. A world of curfews and body raids, where Kyjta must battle to save her young charge Calipsie, whilst making risky alliances with the enemy.

Something for their home

When I am having a bath I love a bit of candle light to help me unwind and relax. These TruGlow Smoked Glass Candle Trio are battery operated LED candles and perfect for use any where in the home. Fake candles are great as they allow the dim candle glow but without any of the risk of a real open flame. These would be a really great gift as part of a self care beauty box or something similar. I was sent the Large Oud Candle and honestly I could smell this beautiful candle before I even opened the box. Candles make for lovely gifts and you can find them in so many scents and styles its easy to find one that will fit the gift recipient perfectly. This one will be staying with me though.

Everyone has that one sweary friend in their friendship group (if you cant think of one…its you! lol) and I can promise you they will love this sweary mug! Brain Box Candy has a load of funny, rude and sweary products, including mugs, socks, bookmarks, keyring, notebooks and a whole host of other items. I thought this one would be perfect for a work colleague, maybe as a secret santa gift. Also feels like something a mum would need for her morning coffee, haha!
