Heres my original December Aims 2020 post if you want to read that first
Family Life/Personal Aims
- Meal plan every week. Completed This has been going really well for the past few months now, so I hope it is a habit I can continue to have throughout 2021. We usually manage to keep to it 5/6 out of 7 days and just juggle dishes if we aren’t feeling like a big meal, saver little goes to waste now
- Try out 3 new pressure cooker recipes. Completed I used the pressure cooker quite a few times this month and have been testing out some recipes from this book.
- Take some ‘Me Time’ and finish one of my books. Failed Yeah!! Are you at all surprised I didn’t get any ‘me time’ and I managed about 2 chapters in my book and that only happened as my insomnia kicked in one night and I was lying in bed awake until gone 4am I will be trying harder in 2021 as I have a lovely stack of books I want to read
- Do some festive things as a family, spend time playing with Elian. 50/50 Ok so we played games and watched movies….but not a single craft was made, no festive baking anon trips as the one I booked got cancelled (thanks covid level 4 lockdown 6 days before xmas!!)
Blogging Aims
- Publish 1 new blog post. Completed Well I managed to move my Slow Cooker White Chocolate and Strawberry Fudge Recipe over from my old hubpages account to here…so I didn’t technically write a new post in its entirety but I did edit and work on this one and get it posted. So im calling that a win for now!
- Start updating my recipe posts after recipe plug in switch. 3/61 Ongoing Although 3 doesn’t seem like a lot, I did spend time putting all my recipes into a database (ive found a new organisation program that is a total game changer for my life… I think…ill let you know more in the future if it works! Ill be adding all my blog posts to it slowly so I can see which ones I can periodically update and which I can interlink!) so I can now see which need work, which have been updated, etc which will hopefully be a lot of help for me to keep track of everything. This will now be ongoing aim. The last one I completed was my Pressure Cooker Butter Chicken Recipe
Finance Aims
- Track all my finances. Completed Im still using the I Save Money App and find it brilliant, to see what I have coming in, different budgeted amounts for known expenses and how much im spending and where
- Stick to my £400 Grocery Budget. Completed £19.04 under budget and that includes a BK and Greggs. Pretty pleased with that as I totally thought I would be over budget this month with buying festive treats but I managed to get under and we still have stuff in for a few more days yet, and quite a few basics covered for this month too (nappies, toilet paper, cleaning etc)
- Hit my £200 side hustle goal. Fail I made £123.77 (including the survey money mentioned below). This is the first month since I started this journey in July that I have failed to hit my £200 target. Usually I’d be annoyed at myself for not making it to my goal but honestly its been such a crazy busy month with the business and Elian off school that I didn’t have time to take extra work, I still managed to shift a few items on eBay and Facebook so I am chipping away at the debt and the clutter, so I am pleased I am another £100+ down!!
- Make £50 from surveys. Fail £36.65…and I have about another £5 waiting to clear. So I didn’t quite make it but I made more than my usual £1 a day target, if id had a bit more time Im sure I could manage it, but as I said above this month has been so busy!
I think 5 achieved, 1 50/50 and one that will be ongoing for a few months is great out of my 10 aims! The question now is what should my January 2021 aims be??
What are your aims for this month. Anything you really want to achieve?
