Keeping the Car Organised with a Dreambaby Car Seat Organiser

November 3, 2021November 3, 2021 Chantele Leave a comment

Do your little humans simply have to take stuff with them everywhere they go? Are they likely to get bored on any car journey more than a mile from your home? Does your car seem become a dumping ground of wrappers, drinks bottles, toys and other random child paraphernalia? If you answered yes to these then maybe you need a car seat organiser to be able to tidily stash all that kid stuff and to help keep them entertained (and quiet!!) on car journeys.

The item was gifted but all words and opinions are my own

Organise your car with a car seat organiser

We tend to take a few long drives throughout the year, either for day trips or mini breaks, so the kids are quite used to being in the car for long journeys. Usually I have to stash bags of snacks behind our seats, and toys for entertainment in the middle back seat. But we’ve been testing out the Dreambaby Car Seat Organiser (also available on Amazon) over the last few weeks, ready for our next holiday away in January.

We actually took a 2.5 hour drive to see the lantern festival at West Midlands Safari Park last week and Elian got to fill his organiser with a few bits to give it a proper test run!

About the Dreambaby Car Seat Organiser

The organiser has 6 pockets in total. A large tablet pocket at the top, with a plastic cover which can be touched through for the screen to work, so it can be watched whilst still in the pocket. 4 thinner mesh pockets (2 each side) which are big enough to hold a drinks bottle or Klean Kanteen in our case. Elian stashed his bottle, some snacks, pencils and a small cuddly (for Effie apparently!) in these. Then a fairly large central pocket on the bottom which is perfect for books or note books (which is what Elian chose to put in here).

The whole thing attaches to the rear of the driver or front passenger seat using 2 clips and straps, which can be tightened around the seat so it fits properly and securely.

Our pros for the Dreambaby Car Seat Organiser

We felt the size of the pockets and the overall size of the organiser was perfectly adequate for stashing plenty of items to keep kids entertained on a car journey. The tablet pocket especially was a really good size and would fit even larger kids tablets, just not in their rubber cases!

Elian loved that he had his own personal space in the car. I told him he was allowed to pack whatever he wanted for the journey as long as it fitted in the car organiser, and he enjoyed being able to chose the items he wanted for the drive.

Because it attaches to both the top and bottom of the seat it is pulled flush against the back of the seat, meaning it doesn’t hang down loosely like some of the ones I have seen. This means the kids don’t lose a lot of leg space in the back of the car. And it is rally secure so isnt going to shift whilst driving.

Our Cons for the Dreambaby Car Seat Organiser

So we have 2 little negatives – the strap for the bottom section to be attached to the seat didn’t fit right down into the crease where the back and seat join so you could tuck it in. But I think this is partly due to the fact that our front seats are so big. The seat cushions are very wide so the straps had to be opened as long as they would go.

Secondly the whole thing hangs quite low down so Elian did struggle to reach the bottom pouched whilst he was in his seat, and he wouldn’t have been able to watch the tablet whilst it was in the pouch as it was again quite low down. Again this is partly due to the types of seats we have. But I also think that these would be more suited to people carriers with higher upright seats rather than an older saloon like have.
