I think my first aim for these monthly posts should be to be more organised so I can actually get them published during the first few days of the month, lol! Never mind, better late than never I suppose! My January Aims went fairly well I think. Although I didn’t complete them all Jon and I spent the month decluttering, downsizing and minimising our whole house so we feel like we made a great start to the new year and our home is feeling much less cluttered. We’ve been watching lots of The Minimalists videos on YouTube and find it really inspiring to help us focus and find what is really important to us and the life we want to have. But I think Ill go into that in more detail in another post, for now here are my February 2021 aims!

Family Life/Personal Aims
- Meal plan for the whole month…we are continuing this from previous months, it works well for us, stops us over spending on our food budget and has lowered our waste considerable as I only purchase exactly what is needed for that week.
- Try 2 new pressure cooker recipes. We love our pressure cooker, and my current favourite thing is to cook a whole chicken in it, which I can then strip and use for 3 or 4 meals! Major budget saving and the chicken is delicious. Im hoping to find and try out at least 2 new recipes this month
- As we are on a decluttering/minimising journey I want to have at least 10 listings going live every week on eBay. Ive given myself until the end of the month to sell off the last of Elias baby clothes, if I have anything left after this point I will be gifting them to someone on our local women’s swap shop, as ive now been trying to sell them for around 6 months and enough is enough, they need to be gone.
- Read 2 new books. Seeing as I am on a roll from finishing 4 last month I am hoping I can keep it up and have set myself the challenge of finishing at least 2 this month. At the moment I am reading The Lost Art of Letter Writing, Essentialism and Lie, Lie Again (yes I multi read, this is 1 physical book and 2 digital ones on my phone) So I am off to a good start for the month already.
Blogging Aims for February 2021
- Continue to work through my recipe posts to check they are working and update if possible. I would like to update at least 2 this month if I can
- Write 3 new blog posts. I do still have 2 toy reviews to write which I would like to get done, but I also have a few other posts id like to work on if I can get any time
- I’d like to complete Hannah B Photography’s Black and White Week Challenge over on instagram, were on day 2 at the moment so so far so good!! lol!
Financial Aims for February 2021
- Stick to my £400 food budget for the month. Im usually very close either side so I am not too worried as this seems to be a good amount for us to keep to. This includes all our toiletries, baby items, cleaning stuff and pet food too
- Make £200 from my side hustles (mainly selling second hand stuff and surveys at the moment) to pay off my personal debt
- Try to cash out £50 minimum for my survey apps and sites. Ive set this target twice before now and fail it every month! But I really want to try this month and hit it as it would be a great little boost for my side hustle earnings and debt repayments
So thats my plans and goals for this month…what do you want to achieve in February? Any big goals pr challenges?
