[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]I LOVE FUDGE! Just for you all to know, I thought I would declare it up front. I literally love fudge, and so does Jon, and my Dad, and my Sister, actually the only person in the house who does’nt is my mum (unluckily for her!) So when The Finest Fudge Co got in touch to ask if we would like to taste some of their great new fudge flavours we gratefully accepted, a week later this awesome parcel turned up in the mail…[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]There are 2 awesome things about The Finest Fudge Co … Number 1. you can get fudge delivered to your door, I mean who doesn’t want a sweet fudge delivery! Number 2. the range of flavours is amazing! They don’t just do your usual vanilla, chocolate and caramel, oh no they do things like Malibu and Pineapple, Reeses Pieces, Snikers, Cookie Dough, Dime Bar and Peanut Butter and Nutella! Nom Nom!
Before I get onto the flavours we tried I should say that all 3 Finest Fudge Co bars had a beautiful consistency to them. I don’t like my fudge too dry and crumbly, I think fudge should be smooth and creamy, it should cut with a knife and not break away and crumble like biscuit! And the Finest Fudge Co have really nailed that, all of the ones we tried were beautifully smooth and really soft and creamy.
We were sent 3 different bars to try: Baileys, Ferrero Rocher and Oreo! The Oreo and Ferrero Rocher ones actually had full Oreo biscuits and Ferrero Rocher balls in them, which was a nice surprise when I sliced them up! The fudge itself is really sweet, so I couldn’t actually eat a lot of it (although Jon and Dad happily did!) which isn’t actually a bad thing as it lasted a bit longer. The Baileys flavour is rich and really tasted of Baileys, but it wasn’t too strong or overpowering.
So our verdict! Both Jon and I thought the Ferrero Rocher was the best flavour, having the whole chocolate in the bar meant you got creamy fudge and then a bit of the crunchy and crispy Ferrero Rocher texture, then the smooth praline, it was divine! Our least favourite was the Baileys, but that was only a personal thing as neither of us really likes Baileys, as my mum does I made her taste it and she actually liked it, even though she doesn’t like fudge! So if you like Baileys, you will probably love the Baileys fudge. As testament to how good all 3 of the Finest Fudge Co bars were there isn’t actually any left, it all got eaten up fairly rapidly.
And I will say this now, I will be ordering from them very soon as I really want to taste a few of the other flavours they have on offer! With each bar costing £4 or 3 for £10 (with £4 royal mail postage, they are pretty heavy obviously!) they are also really well priced as the bars are pretty huge!
