Is Invictus Vinyl Suitable for a Kitchen?

July 22, 2023 Chantele Leave a comment

The one room that sees the most cleaning is the kitchen – the heart of the house and the family gathering space.

Heavy foot traffic, stains, spills and footprints show up on this floor more than any other, taking twice as much time to clean than other rooms. If you are considering changing your current flooring, there is one option you should take a look at to cut down on the cleanup. That is Invictus.

Why Invictus?

Invictus flooring is considered the number one luxury vinyl flooring recommendation for moisture-heavy rooms in the home – such as kitchens and bathrooms.

It is incredibly durable in these areas by being composed of multiple layers and a thick core that provides comfort and practicality. When it comes to the kitchen design, Invictus’ waterproof safeguarding provides unequalled protection to the subfloor whilst offering great style and an easy-to-clean design.

Vinyl flooring options for kitchens

Design

People began to switch towards luxury vinyl due to its perfectly replicated look of hardwoods, stones and ceramics – whilst also providing a cushion feel for comfort. On the top is a reinforced wear layer providing long-lasting durability.

There are a few options within your choices for vinyl to consider. Sheet vinyl flooring lays in 6 or 12 feet wide sheets, which are waterproof and easy to install. You also have plank vinyl flooring installable via peel-and-stick-down or a glue-down method.

Vinyl tile flooring is a glue-down option by use of an adhesive that is required to be done by a professional to be safe on installation the first time.

Waterproof

The benefit to the kitchen is the waterproof safeguards at play with Invictus.

By incorporating a 100% waterproofing design, vinyl can withstand leaks from overspilling sinks, leaking pipes, washing machines and defrosting freezers whilst also having an anti-slip layer. Spilt drinks and sauces won’t provide any nasty surprises.

Cleaning

Usually, a quick wipe can sort out any offending spills and a regular weekly mop helps to keep it looking new. As well as these measures, a sweep with a non-abrasive broom keeps things fresh. Approved floor cleaners, not wax-based, are also recommended to use on the floor, avoiding any products that may affect the wear layer if they are not suitable.

If you are looking for the most reliable and durable flooring for your kitchen space to reduce stress, then Invictus, such as grey oak flooring, is a fantastic addition to your home.
