It’s no secret that as parents we all crawl the walls with the same old songs and ramblings of children’s devices. They’re a god send when you just need 5 minutes peace to do housework or make a phone call. But when you’ve got Cocomelon or Bluey blasting from a tablet, its enough to make you go doolally.
Enter, kids headphones!
Now both our kids have their own headphones and adore them. They love listening to their favourite music and tv shows without bugging each other or us. We were sent these JLAB JBUDDIES wireless kids headphones to try out recently so here is our little review and what we thought of them.

What we thought of the JBuddies Wireless Kids Headphones
First impressions, they feel really quite sturdy in the hand and not flimsy, great to deal with the wear and tear kids put on products. A big wide headband and ear cups with a nice soft finish all over, Elian said they were really comfy to wear.
Setup was nice and quick and we instantly got them pumping out (at a safe level of the maximum 85db) some music on spotify for Elian to shake his butt to, followed by connecting them to his fire tablet to watch some of his favourite shows. They sound pretty good, nice and clear and no forceful bass to damage your kids hearing like a lot of adult headphones.
The headphones come with a cable for the old fashioned way of connecting them up to a device. The fire tablets have a headphone jack which is handy when the battery goes flat on them, but once charged they are rated to last upto 24 hours. The one charging niggle is that the connector is an old micro USB style which is a pain when nearly every device we have now has moved to the easier to use USBC, meaning we have to keep a cable on hand just for these. A nice touch however is that the cables are colour matched and make it a lot easier to find the right cable for the headphones in a drawer full of the other usual kid stuff.
When not in use, they handily fold up to fit into a bag or drawer to take up less space, but care needs to be taken as the signal wire that leads to the ear cup has no protection from being overly strained in the wrong direction. A heavy handed little one could potentially turn the ear cup in the wrong direction and rip the cable out rendering them damaged and unable to be used.
Overall we love them! They look sleek and stylish, Elian says they are comfortable to wear which is great if they are using them for travelling. The sound quality is clear and safe for little ears. And to be honest they are really reasonably priced too! Currently retailing at £29.99 ( they have wired ones for £19.99 too)
