Ok so maybe a million was an exaggeration! But there are so many ways to show some one that you love them. Whether its your partner, your parents or just a good friend, sometimes you just want to show them how special they are to you. If they are feeling down, having a tough time, been a bit under the weather, or have done something special for you you might want to show them your thinking about them and just say I love you.
Here are my top tips to say ‘I Love You’ to that someone special!
- Surprise them with flowers! – Flowers randomly being delivered to your door or your desk at work will always put a smile on someones face. Flying Flowers are my florist of choice when sending bouquets to friends and family in the UK. So many beautiful floral options to suit everyone. These Hyacinths and Tulips are my current favs as they are really beautiful and pretty unusual. They are sure to brighten up the darkest of days.
- Write them a nice note – Yes it might sound old fashioned but receiving a letter in the post is still fun no matter how old you get! I am still a massive snail mail fan, with 3 panpals in America (Miki, Alex and Annica I love you all!!) and there is nothing better than getting a lovely letter written on pretty stationary. Even just a little card to remind someone you are thinking about them can make anyones day. Check out Paperchase for loads of stunning writing sets and cards
- Treat them to tea and cake (or coffee if thats your thing) – A relaxed natter over a cuppa and some cake can be just the ticket to making someone feel much better. Whether you take them to a coffee shop locally, invite them to yours or visit their house (with cake!!) it’s sure to make them feel special. Why not make some Chocolate and Salted Caramel Cupcakes to give them.
- Cwtches all round!! – Yep a hug is free but it can be the best thing in the world if your having a hard time or feeling less than your best. So in Wales we give cwtches! They are the best type of hugs, because they are welsh! hehe! No in all honesty just giving someone a hug can relive stress, pent up emotions and make you feel like your not alone, don’t take my word for it there is real medical research into the benefits of hugging!
I also found this awesome little video from BuzzFeed whilst browsing around on YouTube, showing you how to say ‘I Love You’ in a whole host of different languages. So if you fancy telling someone you love them in French, Spanish, German or a different language check this out!
Whats your favourite way to tell someone that you love them? Or how has someone said I love you to you?
Fabulous ideas, I really need to tell my husband how much he means to me more often.
We do sometimes take them for granted, and they us! Its just nice to say it sometimes!
