November!! Almost the end of the year and in all honesty I can’t wait to see the back of 2020, which I’m sure is how most of us feel, let’s just hope 2021 is better and we can regain some normality as a nation.
Quite a few of my aims this month will be the same as last month as they are things I am hoping to keep doing going forward, or things I am aiming to build as a good habit. Plus some are the aims I failed to hit last month, oops! You can see last months results post here.

Family Life/Personal Aims
I had 2 main aims for family life last month and they are pretty much the same for this month, plus a few additional new aims.
I would like to keep the meal planning going for another month as it is really working for us. It is stopping me from over spending on food, making sure I am cooking meals most days, and I have found I am wasting less food too as I only buy exactly what is needed each week.
Aim to keep our ‘Screen Free Sundays’ going as I really do find it a nice way to reset the week and spend some proper time with Elian. Think I just need to be a little more prepared with them and have an idea of what we can do, even if it is just board games or a craft together.
Finish my christmas shopping!! I know crazy, but I’d like it all done before the start of December so I have time to wrap and make my edible gifts. And as I buy a number of items from independent handmade type shops it gives them time to get here too. I am about 70% done already I think so not a huge amount left to sort…and I want to do it in my planned budget!
Lastly is a personal aim for me, I would like to finish one of the books I am reading. I tend to read 2 at once, one physical book and one ebook on my phone. I read the ebook at night in bed usually when feeding in the dark and read the other any other times. So if I can finish one of them this month that would be great (see what im reading on my Goodreads account)
Blogging Aims
As its November I need to post my Christmas Gift Guides, those aren’t really optional now as I have deadlines to meet. So I have set aside some time to dedicate to photographing the items and getting them all written up to post asap.
I still have 2 outstanding product reviews to sort as I only managed to get the one written last month (My Amawrap Review) so ideally I would like to get them done if I can…but we shall see as the gift guides are a lot of work!
Create new pins for any old Christmas blog post to help give them a bit of a revive
Finance Aims
As I said last month I am currently trying to follow the Dave Ramsey Money Method so have a budget set up and am trying to snowball my small personal debts. So my financial aims are mostly tied to that.
- Continue to track all outgoings, I use the I Save Money app which is basic but really easy to use and see clearly.
- Stick to our £400 a month food budget, which needs to include all supermarket shopping (including toiletries, nappies and cleaning etc) and any takeaways I pay for. I shop on Sundays and there are annoyingly 5 Sundays this month, so I fear it may be a little tight this month but I have wiggle room in another area of the budget if I really need to
- Hit my £200 side hustle target to pay straight towards debt repayments, I do this from using survey sites, phone apps, and selling items we have decluttered
Business Aims
Seeing as I failed so miserable to get the Etsy shop up and running last month that is the business plan for this month. If I can get 10 items up and maybe get my first sale that would be great.
So thats all of this months plans. As I said a lot are the same as last month or are the items I didn’t manage to complete last month! Lol! Fingers crossed I can get on top of them this time!
Do you have any plans or goals for November?
