[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As most of you know, we run our own photography company, Cross-Jones Photography, but the whole self employed business thing is a new world to us. Having only running the company for a year there is lots of stuff we are still learning, and still perfecting – our packaging and stationary for clients being one of them. We were recently contacted by Of-Is to ask if we could try out their app service for office and business supplies. As we are using plenty of supplies at the moment we were more than happy to try it out, and happy to find anything that might make the back office side of our business run a bit more smoothly.
Setting up your account on the the Of-Is app on the iPhone was very simple and straight forward. All I needed to do was put a few personal details in and we were good to go. We spent quite a while browsing through all of the different categories and found it real easy to navigate and browse from section to section. Adding items to the basket is simple and quick however we did encounter one annoying issue, which I have no doubt can be fixed easily by the developer. I started adding items to the basket and all of a sudden the app would quit out, no warning at all just poof, goodbye. Starting the app back up revealed that all of the basket items had been cleared so I had to browse through the menus again and try and remember what it was I ordered. Several attempts later and I still wasn’t able to complete my order, but to my ignorance there is a search bar at the top to speed things up. Monday morning came and I placed the order, which was very simple, a few card details and it was complete. I did try to place an order outside of the allocated order days (on a sunday) and it wouldn’t let me, but thankfully at this stage my order was saved and i could recall it the following day.
To my surprise the order turned up the next working day which is outstanding service, and most importantly everything I ordered was present and correct.
Prices are reasonable, and in some cases cheaper then the highstreet, but do remember they are not including VAT, as that will be added at the end. There is a flat shipping rate of £6.25, which if you are order heavy items or a number of products like we did, is really well priced.
The open hours is a bit of a down side. You can only place orders Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, which is a little unusual for an online business. But I get their logic that the app is meant for an office based business, so these would correlate with their opening hours. But I think if you run your own business it is more likely you will order your office supplies and do you back office work, outside of general work hours (or at least this is the case in our experience).
Overall I found the Of-Is app and the information provided about the products available fantastic. It’s clean, simple and convenient to use compared to online ordering which can be tedious and annoying at times. I particularly like the ability to read bar codes so you can re-order supplies quickly, and of-course order the correct items. This could be a hugely helpful app if you are ordering office supplies often, simply favourite all the items you use frequently and your list is there waiting for you when you next need to order, or scan your items barcode in as your stock gets low, and order quickly and accurately.
If you want to find out more about the Of-Is app you can check out their website or simply search for Of-Is in your app store.

Thank You for reviewing our app and apologies for the issues you encountered. I am delighted that, on the whole, you enjoyed your experience of our app.
The sudden closure of the app – this is the first report we have had of such a problem. we are currently investigating and will resolve whatever caused it.
The ordering times of between 8am – 6pm are set like this for the reasons you have stated, but also because orders get sent directly to the warehouse, to be picked ensuring that there is no human intervention, which in turn eliminates mistakes.
Would you like to see an option of displaying the prices inc VAT?
Many Thanks for your review again
