Although the weather is steadily getting nicer in the UK at the moment I still can’t help thinking about a nice relaxing family holiday in the sun with Jon and the Little Dude. With the business me and Jon are so busy all the way through the summer, photographing beautiful weddings and lots of family and couples portrait sessions, so we rarely get time for much of a holiday until later in the year. When it was just the 2 of us we were more interested in short active holiday’s exploring cities (like our Copenhagen trip) but now we have the Little Dude we really fancy a relaxed family holiday where we can just be together, unwind and do lots of swimming (dudes fav activity!)
The new Pra’ Delle Torri Holiday Centre on the shores of Caorle, next to the historic city of Venice looks like the perfect location for us. Having opened only this year they have already achieved a Trip Advisors Travellers Choice 2017 Award which is pretty impressive.
They have a range of accommodation from the central hotel to apartments and even a camp ground. This is great for families and great if your on a tighter budget too. We would probably be interested in the apartments or awesome little bungalows they have on site as we like our own space, like the freedom to do our own cooking and of course have lots of space for Little Dude to play and explore.
The major winning factor for me is the amazing looking swimming pool and aquatic park! I know this would be a total winner with Elian and we would probably spend the majority of our time in the pool. The immense 34,000 meter area of swimming pools is right on the seafront, including a fantastic aquatic park with slides, water games and a whirlpool, the beautiful pirates’ island – a children’s paradise overlooked by the immense galleon, an Olympic size pool and a half-Olympic one, I mean seriously it’s a water babies dream!
If swimming isn’t your thing though there is plenty of other activities to keep you entertained. An 18 hole golf course, foot golf, sports centre with football fields, tennis courts, basketball courts amongst other things, an activity park for skating and biking, lots of fitness style classes (Zumba, Yoga, etc) as well as a climbing wall and an inflatable playground for the little ones. So there literally is something to keep all members of the family entertained.
Food wise you don’t need to worry as there are 5 different restaurants in the holiday park, or a supermarket if your planning on cooking yourself. Or if you fancy venturing outside the holiday park there is of course the area of Veneto or Venice to explore.
Check out everything they have to offer on their website
