15 things to add to your Spring Maternity Wishlist

April 4, 2016February 25, 2021 Chantele Leave a comment

Spring Maternity WishlistJust because I am pregnant and the majority of my wardrobe doesn’t fit me, doesn’t mean I have fallen out of love with fashion, I am simply learning to adapt for a little while. I have built a little capsule wardrobe that I know works well together and will last me throughout the majority of my pregnancy, but that doesn’t stop me itching to add a few cute pieces to it occasionally. With spring on the way I am going to need a few lighter pieces as all my items so far have been suitable for the cold weather we have been having since I grew my little bump.

I have found that I don’t have to wear solely ‘maternity wear’ items though as quite often if the cut on something is right I can simply size up and it fits me great, so I am still wearing ‘non-maternity’ items at the moment. With that in mind here is my spring maternity wishlist, with a few items that will last me after bean has arrived.

Spring Maternity WishlistI know spring is usually all about pastels but in all honesty I’m not much for a pastels girl, give me a bold pattern any day. That being said I am lusting a little after a white lace dress or tunic at the moment and I find denim dresses very versatile at this time of year, I’m loving the embroidered one below, actually I’m loving boho and prairie embroidered piece in general. When it comes to trousers although I adore my over the bump jeans even they can be a little uncomfortable at times but I am loving my palazzos, as long as they have an elasticated or drawstring waist they fit fine and are super loose and comfy, the dark floral pair below are top of the wish list. Tops are pretty easy as long as you size up and go for a longer length if possible. I actually like my bump being on show (I’m a proud mum-to-be) so love having the tops fitted on my bump so plenty of pieces still fit me at the moment and most maternity tops are fitted anyway they just have a bit of extra fabric in the belly area. And what wishlist would be complete without some cute new shoes, obviously these ladies sandals are going to last me a lot longer than just through this pregnancy. I hadn’t noticed before now but I seem to have a bit of a thing for tan coloured shoes at the moment obviously!
