This is only the third year I will be doing Christmas stockings for our family. Up until now we have had stockings at my parents house (which my mother does) as we stayed there Christmas Eve. But with the 2 kids now it is a lot of gifts to move between the 2 houses, so we have chosen to spend Christmas Eve at our own home and travel to my parents later on Christmas Day for dinner…but that means I can now do stockings for our family to open together Christmas morning, and I’m pretty excited about that. It will be a new little tradition for our family.
I’ve chosen not to buy huge stockings, we have pretty standard sized personalised ones that I ordered from a small business (Inspirations in Colour) that I will be filling for Elian, Effie and Jon (Jon and Elian are doing mine). But finding fun and different bits to fit in a stocking can be tricky. So I have been looking for some fun little gifts that will fit in a stocking and I’ve compiled a whole host of great ideas into this stocking filler gift guide. I hope they help you find some gifts to suit your family.
HERE ARE A FEW stocking filler gift ideas TO GET YOU STARTED

Stocking fillers for the kids
Got a little one who loves arts and crafts? We had a go at these Crystalverse Unicorns when we attended Blog On Kids this year, and both Elian and Effie loved them. The mini unicorn sets are perfect to fit in a stocking and will provide hours of fun. First you get to decorate them with all their crystals, then you get to play with them! There are currently 3 different unicorns; Apollo, Kiki and Starlana. And they come in 2 different sizes, but Effie loved the minis as she said they were ‘super cute’.
If your little ones aren’t a fan of unicorns then why not pick up one of these super cute Crystal Art Buddies for a craft thats a little bit different. The currently have a range of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and LOL buddies that are the perfect size to fit in a stocking. Bling up your little characters with the crystals by following the simple lettered dots using the handy stick and self adhesive paper. Its sure to give you half hour of peace and quiet too!
If your little one is creative and loves to colour and draw then a set of beautiful new pencils is a great gift. STABILO is a well known and trusted brand for great art products and they have a brilliant range of kid friendly pencils. For littler ones the Woody 3 in 1 sets are great, super chunky pencils that are wax crayons, pencils and watercolours all in one. And they come in 24 different colours, but the little 6 piece packs are perfect for stockings or travel packs. The STABILOaquacolor Arty sets are perfect for older children or adults who love to get creative. They can be used dry or wet to create stunning artworks.
Got a toddler or little one who loves a bit of sensory play time maybe? We love a bit of Playfoam in our house, its (practically) mess free, easy to mould and fun to play with. Really great for small ones to help with dexterity and to get them interested in exploring their surroundings and getting creative. Use it in a sensory play set up, or to practice letter and number formation by moulding it to mirror a letter or number drawn on a white board.
Does anyone still love a fidget popper? My kids are both still crazy for fiddling with these satisfying little rubber toys, and have a lovely little collection of them already. But I’m popping 1 of these in each of their stockings this year. This 2 pack from Wicked Uncle contains glow in the dark poppers, perfect too add a fun extra element to them.
Here’s something else that is going to be fun for the little ones. This On The Go Spots Game by Kidoki is a great little game to get kids into playing games with others. Super simple to play, these numbered jigsaws are fun and easy for little hands. Plus it comes in a compact tin, perfect for stockings, travel and easy storage.
I was lucky enough to meet the brilliant creative lady behind the brand of Button and Squirt whilst at Blog On last year. She draws all the amazing animal and dinosaur illustrations on her products and they are brilliant! She has a range of colouring books, fact and playing cards, greeting cards, jigsaws, jewellery and home ware items. I love the unusual animal alphabet featuring the likes of Axolotl, Narwhal, Spoon Bill Snadpiper, Blob Fish and Dumbo Octopus and her Amazing Animals Inside Out Cards which shows the animal and their skeleton in a game of pairs! Plus her cards contain facts and info on the animals meaning kids can learn whilst they play.
This Eat, Sleep, Doodle Placemat is a great addition to a stocking (or for under the tree). It all comes handily packaged in a little on the go bag, and includes a set of wash off fabric pens. This is the Fairytales and Legends design, but they have lots of other designs, and even have a table cloth if you fancy a whole table creation. Once your done with the colouring just pop it in the wash to remove the colour and start all over again.
The Baylis & Harding Beauticology Unicorn and Mermaid range is perfect for little ones who want to feel a little bit grown up and pampered. Featuring lots of pretty bath bombs, bubble bath and other toiletries they are sure to be loved. This Sprinkled with Love Gift Set is the perfect size to fit in a stocking and features 5 handy test tubes of bubble bath and bath salts.
How fun do these sound! The kids will love to have their own little pamper session with the 7th Heaven Winter Wonderland Face Masks. They can chose from the Reindeer Soothing Mask, Penguin Hydrating Mask or the Elf Nourishing Mask. PeTA Approved, Vegan Friendly and Cruelty free too! Perfect for ages 8+ but lots of fun for adults too!
I now have a little Beaver in the house and he is loving going to group every week, so I though a compass might be a great fun, practical item for him to have. This dinky wooden one from Kikkerland is perfect to pop in a stocking and is great as a starter compass for little ones learning to navigate and map read by themselves.
Not sure if its just my kids, but toys are so much more exciting if they are ‘surprise’ toys! I know Effie is going to love this little Hatchimal Alive in her stocking, she gets super excited waiting to find out what toy she has in a blind bag or egg in this case. And the little tiny Hatchimals in these eggs are super cute!
Elian on the other hand will be getting this super cool Special Attack Bakugan in his stocking, which he is already a massive fan of. We recently won the Battle Arena at Blog On Kids so he is keen to get a few of the new Special Attack Bakugan so he can have battles with his friends and with us. These are perfectly sized for stockings too, and being small means they don’t take up a huge amount of room at home.
Hairbo really is the king of the sweets! Especially when it comes to fun seasonal ones! This year is no different and they have a great range of seasonal sweets you can pick up in most supermarkets. Their giant sweetie crackers are perfect for stockings and their Giant Trees and Puck Penguins are a fun spin on their traditional sweets. Lets just hope I can stop myself from eating them before Christmas Day arrives.
If your looking for some healthier treats or something for babies and toddlers then you can’t go wrong with some of the products form Fruit Bowl! We are already big fans of this brand with both kids loving a number of the products. Elian always has some in his lunch box so I know he would be happy to have the fun Dino Eggs in his stocking this year, and they have a huge range of fruity treats so your bound to find a flavour your little ones will love.
If you have a little one or teen who has curly hair and struggles to keep it under control then these lush clips would be a perfect little gift to add to their stocking. These large acetate clips from Only Curls are made specifically to hold curly locks in place, and are smooth enough to be placed in the hair and removed without tangling or hurting. These are the pink shimmer colour but they have a whole range of colour options available.
Stocking fillers for teens and adults
Fancy a decadent relaxin bath with a little bit extra? Look no further than Hoo Raa Let’s Get Fizzical bath bomb with added CDB. This beautiful smelling bath bomb will release a zingy lime and eucalyptus scent to help you ease away the stress of the day and leaving you feeling relaxed and calm.
Sticking with the toiletries theme, this super hydrating body bar from Beauty Kin is meant to be a miracle product if you suffer from dry skin (which I do! On my knees and elbows) The Squalane, Tomato Seed Oil and Bergamot ingredients help make a rich lather that soaks deep into your skin, making soft, smooth and hydrated. The bars are an impressive 150g so will last a while. And all the packaging is plastic free, it comes unwrapped in a cardboard box making it more eco friendly.
If you’re looking after the skin on your body don’t forget to look after the skin on your hands too. Our hands take a beating throughout the day and can be prone to dryness cracking and wrinkles as we age. The Evolve Organic Beauty Timeless Renewal Hand Cream is a great new Bio-Retinol hand cream that works to tackle signs of ageing such as wrinkles and age spots, whilst preventing dryness and repairing the skin’s barrier layer. With an uplifting fragrance blend of Rose Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Mandarin and Vanilla
If you’re looking for more eco friendly plastic free gifts then these VASO premium glasses straws and bamboo straw cases are a brilliant little stocking filler. These are great for when you are out and about, whether travelling for work, a busy mum on the go or a university student between classes. They are great to pop in your bag to help reduce your use of plastic straws (because lets be honest, no one likes paper straws!!) Plus this set comes with 2 sizes of straws and cases so is versatile no matter what you are drinking. Each straw is reusable, environmentally friendly and sustainable. Plus whats even better is they can be used for both hot and cold drinks!
Can we take a minute just to see how cute this little dino nail brush and whale exfoliator are from Kikkerland. These would be a great addition to a teenagers stocking, especially if they play sports so get dry skin on their feet or dirty hands whilst out on a pitch or something similar. The all natural nail brush cleans your nails with plant-based bristles, and is easy to hold with the dinosaur shape, great if your looking for eco friendly plastic free gifts. Whilst the double sided foot file will help to scrub away dead skin and polish your feet to perfection.
It tends to be a running joke that everyone needs new socks and pants at Christmas. But how about instead of the usual boring black or white socks you buy them a pair from Brain Box Candy. They have loads of fun pairs to choose from but my favourites are these ‘I’m a Delicate F*****g Flower’ and the ‘F*** Off I’m Reading’ pair! They aren’t all sweary ones, there are plenty of funny ones, but most have a little rude twist!
This handy little bluetooth Tile Tracker is perfected for keeping track of your valuables, whether you miss place them near or far away. This is one of the limited edition collection, the Rambler Pro design. The Tile trackers come in a range of sizes so they can be used with a range of different products from keys and laptops, to suitcases and handbags. Simply attach your tile then use the handy app to track your items location. They even have Google/Alexa connectivity so you can ask it where your items are in your home and the keys tracker will ring to help you locate them. Great if you travel a lot…or you just lose your keys often!
Also from the Brain Box Candy company is this magnetic bookmark! (That I am clearly keeping for myself!) This is the perfect gift for any avid readers, or students who have a whole tonne of course reading to do. The little bookmarks can be popped over the page and held together with little magnets to save your page without damaging the book. They have dozens and dozens of different designs, all manner of themes, plus a few naughty ones too!
Ramer Sponges are a lovely little practical gift to add to a stocking for any member of the family. Everyone needs a good sponge and it’s surprising how little people change their sponges! They stock a whole range of sponges for all uses. Super soft ones for babies and kids, cosmetic sponges and shammys for removing make up, gentle exfoliating sponges and shaving towels. They really do have something for everyone.
So there you have our jam packed stocking filler gift guide. There are so many things that you can get to put in a stocking and I hope this has given you a little bit of inspiration. Happy Christmas shopping!
