[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you follow my Twitter you will probably know that I spent this last weekend in Birmingham as me and Jon were photographing an amazing wedding at The Custard Factory (check out our FB page for a sneak peek!) This is a little post about what we got up to, and one of my outfits from the weekend, featuring my bargain dress and shirt from the Matalan Clearance Store in Newport.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Outfit Details
- Dress £3 down from £22 – Matalan Clearance Store Newport
- Denim Shirt £4 down from £16 – Matalan Clearance Store Newport
- Pumps £4 – Primark
- Bracelet – NEC Clothes Show Live
This outfit was what I wore out to Tiger Bills for dinner on our first night in Birmingham, and includes two of the items I picked up on my trip to the Matalan Clearance Store in Newport last week (you may have seen me going on Instagram!) If your local and you haven’t been, you really should go, it is better if you are a size 8-10 in all honesty but I still managed to pick up a few really great bargains, this dress and denim shirt being 2 of them. Me and Jon had never really been to Birmingham before (going to the NEC for gigs doesn’t count!) so we had a good nose around the area where the wedding was taking place (mainly so we could get some shoot ideas, but also because it was so cool!) The Custard Factor is a great little area full of vintage and antique shops, so obviously I had to go for a nose! Oh and Jon was asked to be filmed for Embarrassing Bodies!!!!! Not as a patient though, lol, just because of his beard! Obviously we took a nose around the markets and the Bull Ring too as we were there. And lastly this is where we were staying for the night – The Plough and Harrow on Hagley Road. Its impressive on the outside, and J.R.R. Tolkein has stayed there (which is cool) but the inside could really do with a complete update! But as we pretty much only slept in the room and spent the whole day out, we didn’t really mind! So that’s what we got up to! How was your weekend? Have you visited the Custard Factory in Birmingham before? p.s. I love that matalan, Matlan is so cheap already and they always have good stuff there. I’m heading up to Birmingham to see blogger pals on Saturday, I go every couple of months. Love that city, so cheap for nights out and it has the best shops x
I like a good bit of Matalan too, and the clearance store is silly cheap! I was impressed by all the vintage shops in Birmingham! Have a nice time there!
