Slimming World Slow Cooked Chinese 5-Spice Gammon

This Slimming World 5-Spiced gammon is bursting with aromatic asian flavours and is perfect paired with noodles or rice. A great chinese feast to stop you craving that take away. Very filling and super easy to make. 1syn per person

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp Chinese 5-spice powder
  • 4 gammon steaks or a6500-700g Gammon Joint if using a joint soak in water for a few hours
  • Finely grated zest and juice of 1 orange
  • 1 level tbsp clear honey
  • 100 ml chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce

Method
 

  1. Remove all the excess fat from the gammon and dice into chunks or strips
  2. Place in the slow cooker and sprinkle with the Chinese 5-Spice, give it a good mix
  3. Mix all the other ingredients in a jug or bowl then pour over the meat
  4. Cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8-10
  5. Serve with noodles or rice and some stir fried veggies

Notes

If you want an extra kick add a finely diced chilli to the sauce
