Reviving Old Photos
One of the things about being a photographer, and even more so a blogger, is we take a lot of photos! And quite often they will get stashed away for future use, one or 2 will be shared on socials, then I forget I’ve taken them, or life gets in the way and other priorities take precedence on the blog. So with all this going on at the moment I’ve been able to take a little time out and have been looking over some of my stashed files of photos, to finally revive some of them for blog posts. I’ve got some lovely kids fashion/general life/outing type posts to write but also some old toddler activities, messy play and toy reviews to share.
Summerleaze Beach, Bude
Bringing you a bit of a throw back from our family break to Cornwall last summer today. Me and Jon aren’t big beach people, but when its beautiful weather and you’re in Cornwall it kinda feels like a must. So during our little break we did escape to a local dog friendly beach for a few hours, Summerleaze Beach. It was very busy, as you’d expect in the hight of the summer holidays, but it was a beautiful beach with some lovely walks around it, and a lovely cafe/restaurant on the rocks over looking the beach called Life’s a Beach. It was very pricey, again as you’d expect for its location. But it was a lovely place to sit for a little while in the beautiful weather and just look out over all the beach.
I can’t honestly say Elian is much of a beach child either, he usually doesn’t like getting his hands dirty, but he did enjoy a little play in the sand, and splashing his feet in the shallow little sea puddles on the beach. Luckily he had no desire to actually go anywhere near the sea itself!

Tamar Valley Cottages, North Tamerton, Cornwall
When visiting Cornwall, we stayed in the beautiful Tamar Valley Cottages. A great collection of self catering, dog friendly cottages set in the ground of North Tamerton Old Rectory. With lots of outdoor space to enjoy and surrounded by countryside it was the perfect Cornwall base for all our family. Local to lots of beaches and great family attractions like the Tamar Valley Otter and Wildlife Park. Elian and Opie were both able to enjoy the freedom and run around the grounds. There were beautiful flower and lots of wildlife, plus the owners and their Jack Russel dogs are really friendly. The cottages them selves were lovingly decorated, so cozy and homely, with all the amenities you could want. We all had a really lovely peaceful break away, and will happily return there in the future.
