5 Stylish Feeding and Water Bowls for you Dog

stylish dog bowls

When we first got Opie we weren’t at all prepared for him, at least in the sense of having pet and puppy things for him. Although we had been thinking about getting a dog we hadn’t quite got round to buying things as we thought he would still be a while off, but then we found him on Facebook and that was it, he was ours (5 hours from finding to holding I think) you can see the start of his story in this post.

The amount of things you need for a new puppy is quite extensive (you can see my Essential Shopping Guide for a New Puppy here) but one of the first things we had to buy were food and water bowls. To start with we just got a cheap one from a local discount shop, but Opie kept knocking them about and spilling water everywhere, plus they were pretty dull and ugly. There are so so many options out there for dog bowls that you can easily find a stylish dog bowl for your furry little friend. Granted some can be super pricy but there are also loads of stylish dog bowls on the market that are decently priced too.

When I started searching online I was surprised at just how many different types of bowls there were. Due to Opie’s tendency to spill his bowl we found the best option was a bowl that was raised from the ground, so here are our 5 favourite stylish dog bowls.

  • Personalised Double Oak Bowls – £165 The Stylish Dog Company
  • Meshidai Dog Dining Table – From £21 Wild 4 Pets
  • Anderson Wooden Dog Bowl – From $30 Baxter Boo
  • Midcentury Modern Dog Bowl – Fom £18 Barketek on Etsy
  • Elevated Dog Bowl – £15.59 Dogit

Although we didn’t actually end up getting Opie any of these ones, we found this simple steel version in a local shop, and got him a stylish non slip food mat instead. It has helped hugely, he now no longer spills his water everywhere or chases his food bowl round the kitchen when he is eating too fast or forcefully. (Similar bowl can be found here)

We have raised bowls for our dog as well – it’s so nice for all, to have them off the floor and to not have her bowls sliding around everywhere. Love the wooden base with the name – so cute!

Love the look of that personalised one – bit pricey though! We have just bought some traditional metal dog bowls for Alfie from Pets at Home. 🙂
