Well Easter Sunday was over a week ago and the Easter holidays are now over…although the mountain of chocolate still in our home doesn’t seem to have decreased much in this time, I fear I will have a box of chocolate in my fridge well into the summer months, haha! Its also likely Jon and I will be the ones eating the majority of it as it would take Elian and Effie until Christmas, and they only had a few eggs each!
We have had a lovely 2 weeks off with the kids. The first week I took both kids to Scotland for a little holiday to visit my God Mother and her family (post coming soon!) then the second week was spent having some fun outings together, Easter Parties, Birthday Parties and Jon and I had a few days of work too.
EASTER SUNDAY 2022
The kids started the day with the easter baskets I had made each of them, both with non-edible gifts. I made a reel of them both on our instagram if you would like to see what I got each of them.
It’s become a bit of a tradition for me to do an Easter egg hunt in the garden for Elian, and now Effie also, as I have done one for the last 3 years, so this year was no different. I purchased a few more fillable eggs from B&M so they had 10 each to find, and I snuck out in the morning to hide them all around our wilderness of a garden.
Each egg had a little marshmallow, chick sweet and a chocolate bunny or egg in, and the kids had a whale of a time trying to find them all. It was so lovely seeing Elian helping Effie to find some eggs and making sure they shared the eggs 50/50 so they had the same amount at the end. He is such a sweet kid. This was Effie’s first time egg hunting and she had such fun
(I found a vlog from our first easter with Elian, if you wanna see what dinky Elian looked like!)
So here are a few photos from the Easter egg hunt!
