Ahh the end of the first month of 2022. And honestly it feels like its whizzed past pretty quickly. Not actually found much time at all to blog this month, but you can see the few things we have gotten up to on my Monthly Review post.
Im hoping I’ll be able to keep this project up for the whole of 2022 and have a proper whole year look back post of the kids at the end of the year! Fingers crossed! I only started this project towards the end of last year but you can see all of my sibling project posts here.

Bluestone Jan 2022
Highlight of our month, and our fav way to kick off a new year is our annual family holiday to Bluestone. We didn’t take a huge amount of photos, as we tend to try and switch off while there, but Jon captured a few. And I took a few video clips so will put together a little vlog soon.
We had a lovely few days just chilling in our cabin, playing in the park and activity centre, swimming in the pool, enjoying the winter lights festival and having some proper time out as a family of 4. Effie is a big fan of the swing, which is funny as Elian hates them, but he loves to get involved and push her…we just have to stop him shoving it too hard haha!
We also spent a few days at the park, with Elian leaning to ride his new Wiggle Scooter which he had for Christmas. We had a fun afternoon den building for a collaboration I did with The Adventure Challenge. Elian already loves building dens so was well up for the challenge and honestly he was better at it than I was, haha!
We have a tradition while at Bluestone that Jon always has a photo with Elian on the giant chair, so this year Effie got to get in on the action too! And Effie went swimming in the big pool for the first time too! She still isn’t confident in water like Elian was at her age as she’s not had the opportunity with covid, but she is warming up to it slowly.
