I’ve been planning our trip to this years BlogOn Kids Conference and realised I never got around to posting last years photos! Talk about a blogger fail! haha! Anyway, I’m not gonna try recap the whole day now, seeing as we are a year since we went, but I thought it would be nice to still share the photos, for prosperity sake at least!
So here are just a few shots from our awesome day at BlogOn Kids 2022, and I promise to be more on the ball with posting this years event, its in October! I may be a little crazy though as I am taking both Elian and Effie this year, and on my own! eek!

Our Favourite Bits of the Day
Meeting other bloggers
We meet quite a few bloggers on the day, lots who I talk to regularly online but have never meet in the real world! So it was really lovely to finely get to chat to people in person. It was especially lush to get to meet Laura Summers who I talk to daily on insta! And Elian got on so well with her kids, they made a great team building the Water Wall.
Playing with lots of new toys and chatting to brand reps
Well as you would expect, seeing as it was a kids blogging conference, there were so many brands to talk to and so many toys for Elian to test out. He had an absolute whale of a time testing out new toys and discovering new brands. We were lucky enough to already be working with some of the brands, and we have managed to work with a few others since the event too. This was also great for Christmas lists, Elian spotted a few toys he really loved and asked Santa to bring him.
Water Wall by Playhouse
The Water Wall, this was a great fun outdoor toy. I have kids who love playing outside and water play is very high on the list of things they like to do. So Elian was instantly drawn to the Water Wall. Essentially a wooden wall on which you can attach a sequence of pipes, valve, buckets and other water carrying vessels to build a path for the water to run down…a marble run for water! It was lots of fun and even the adults got involved, lol! Great bit of science work for the kids too, working out the angle to run the pipes and which was the water would flow at junctions and obstacles.
Curlimals
Elian blinking loved these cute little fluffy interactive creatures. So I did end up buying both him and Effie one for Christmas last year. He has the hedgehog and she has the bunny. The little furry creatures are very cute and interact to different strokes and touches on their body. They make cute little noises and curl up or stretch out depending on where you touch them.
Sylvanian Families
This vintage toy is making a come back with lots of new animal families and play spaces. Sylvanian Families still holds their old school charm though, and lots of the kids there were loving the imaginative play time they could have with these toys.
Gazillion Bubbles
Oh my! Effie would quite possibly have completely lost her shit had she seen all the different bubble machines and sheer amount of bubbles everywhere from the Gazillion Bubbles stand. Elian (and I) had a great time playing with all the different bubble wands and making 1000’s of bubbles. It is so much fine and such wholesome playtime, simple! I did pick Effie up one of the bubble machines for her birthday this year, which she is crazy about.
Build Your Own
Cardboard Structure and Engineering toys which were just crazy! Build Your Own is a brand we had worked with before, but only on their small structure builds…this was on a whole new level. The marble run and pinball machine are mental. Huge and intricately engineered structures all made from cardboard that you can build at home. Elian was so engrossed by they as he adores anything construction based. They would be great for some home learning too, teaching structural engineering and physics while having fun!
Kidicraft Jigsaws
Dude happily sat straight down when he spotted the 3D dinosaur jigsaw to play with, I was more impressed by the giant Hogwarts Express jigsaw that they had going as a group effort! Kidicraft have a whole host of cool jigsaws for kids and adults, across a huge range of subject matter, including popular movie franchises.
Fraidy Cats by Playmonster
This is another one that Elian really loved. He has only recently gotten into board games, so this was a great one to add to his growing collection. I picked it up on Amazon for him for Christmas last year and we have spent a number of afternoons laughing and trying to beat each other around the board.
Baby Blue – Realistic Toy Dinosaur from WOW! Stuff
If my memory serves me well this actually won the top toy at the conference last year. The Baby Blue Raptor Puppet was flipping adorable and so realistic. Its a hand puppet essentially, but with realistic movements and sounds.
Gigabots
Another toy that simply had Elian absorbed, he loves a transformer, so it was no surprise when he spotted the Gigabots he couldn’t wait to get his hands on them to have a go. The robots can be rebuilt into a energy core ball, is fully posable and they just look really cool to be honest. lol!
Moon Shoes
Well of course dude had to test out the Moon Shoes! They are quite chunky and hard to get started on, but he soon managed to get the hang of them and enjoyed bouncing round for a few minutes.
Happy Feet Sensory Play Mats
These sensory play mats were lots of fun to play on. Happy Feet have a huge range of mats available for kids of different ages, different textures and firmness, brilliant for sensory set ups and safe active play indoors. Ive actually looked to pick these up for our schools play group as I think the toddlers would have a great time with them. Elian liked the challenge of the moving disc mats, a challenge to balance and spin.
Fancy dress
Ok I have to admit I have forgotten which company it was that had provided a huge selection of fancy dress costumes and accessories for everyone to have a play with on the day. Elian isn’t a massive fan of dressing up in full costumes, but he wanted to get photos in the Lego and Sonic heads as he is a fan of both of them.
Vintage Arcade Games
There was a row of vintage arcade games for the kids (and mostly the dads!) to have a go on. Elian lived the original Mortal Combat game and the packman game.
Reptile Zoo
As well as all the fun toys and games there was also a reptile zoo in the afternoon. The kids could hold and stroke a range of different reptiles. Luckily Elian loves reptiles (just like is mama!) So was happy to get involved and held the snack and 2 of the different lizards on show.
It was a really awesome day, we had so much fun, chatted with so many brands, played with so many new toys and had a lovely time talking to other parenting bloggers who get this crazy little work we work in.
We are very excited to attend this years event already, just wish me luck taking both kids on my own!
