Beauty Week – Makeup Revolution Lip Geek in Cherry Bomb

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]As well as their budget £1 lipstick range Makeup Revolution also have a slightly (ever so slightly) more expensive range called Lip Geek, they retail for £2.99 (a whole £2 more!). So for the next instalment of Beauty Week I am bringing you a review of the Makeup Revolution Lip Geek in Cherry Bomb. This was the last item I picked up with the Superdrug gift card I received during the opening of the new Beauty Studio in Cardiff.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The first thing I will say is that the colour on the box looks absolutely nothing like the colour the lipstick really is! I swatched it in store just to make sure, as the ‘Cherry Bomb’ colour spot on the display and the box is really dark and not something I would wear usually, but luckily the colour actually came out much brighter as you can see from the swatch below. This is very misleading of them, and really could affect their sales.

I have to say that I love this makeup revolution lip geek colour! I think of all the lipsticks I bought and have reviewed this week, this is probably my favourite, and at £2.99 it is a blinking bargain! The colour is great, lovely and bright with just the right amount of red and pink, it isn’t too glossy or shiny, it covers well, doesn’t dry my lips and doesn’t have a weird taste either!! Score! I will definitely be checking out more of the Makeup Revolution Lip Geek range, there are 25 on their site and a few of the others have caught my eye!
