Well as the secret of beans gender is finally out of the bag (check out our gender reveal photoshoot here) I thought it was also about time you got to see a few pictures from my Afternoon Tea baby shower at Quay 3 in Swansea Bay. Huge thanks goes to my little sister, Briony, for organising it all and a big thank you to all the lovely ladies who came to celebrate my with me. We had a really fun time and me and bean were very spoilt! Check out that amazing nappy cake made by my bestie Lindsey! She knew that I’m not a fan of baby blue and that beans room has a navy blue, grey and orange theme so made me this awesome gift with things to match. It was packed with nappies, swaddle blankets and baby grows, enough to keep us going for at least the first month of his life!! It was amazing and me and Jon had so much fun taking it all apart after the party and discovering what was in each layer. Bean is going to love his Jellycat Fox! Thank you so so much Lindsey!!We all feasted on big platters of afternoon tea, lots of sandwiches, scones, welsh cakes, cupcakes, brownies and rainbow cake with big pots of tea and coffee. It was all so lovely and there was way too much food, lol! So the men in our lives got lucky as most of us took home something for them to enjoy too. Thank you to Quay 3 for putting on such a great spread we all enjoyed it lots and my afternoon tea baby shower was perfect.
My sister decorated with blue balloons, confetti and little plastic milk bottles filled with sweets! We also played a game to guess how big my bump was (43inches round!), who knew the most nursery rhymes and they all got little cards to fill in trying to guess when bean would be born, his weight, hair and eye colour and some advice for me and Jon! It’s been quite fun reading everyones guesses!
