Opie simply loved his first Barkbeats box and was a very excited puppy when a surprise second box arrived a few weeks ago. Barkbeats is a monthly subscription box for the furry friend in your life (why should you have all the snail mail fun!) packed full of treats, toys and fun little gifts they will love. You usually get 4-5 items and the price is between £13.50 and £14.90 (depending on subscription) which is really good value if you priced all the items individually. Opie plays rough so gets through a lot of toys at the moment (he’s 10 months old so we are hoping he may grow out of it at some point) and the price really can add up.
Checkout what we thought about our second Barkbeats box This is what we got in our second Barkbeats box:
- Silly Bums Squeaky Soft Toy – This has to be the silliest looking dog toy ever, they are a range of animal bottom soft toys with squeakers in them and are just so funny! They also have crinkle material in them, which sounded like a plastic bag being balled up, but Opie loved it! He literally carried this around for hours, and amazingly it lasted well over a week with him, before he made a hole in it and removed all the stuffing!
- Gnaw-a-Bone – At first I was a little apprehensive about this, it is a solid plastic bone, very hard and I was worried he would hurt his teeth on it or just not be interested. The second thing was that the minute I opened the pack I could smell it! The plastic seems to be infused in what smelt like bacon scent, and so did my fingers after taking it out the pack, this meant that Opie went mad for it. And he seemed to love chewing on it and still does. A month on he still loves this bone, even though the ends are now well gnawed and chewed up and luckily the scent has completely gone.
- Crazy Biscuits – These seem to be a healthy dog biscuit as they are free of lots of stuff. In all honesty Opie isn’t that keen on them and the first few times they got spat out, although he does return to them later to eat them. They look like plain biscuits really and don’t smell of anything, so I’m wondering whether they lack any good flavours for him and thats why he just isn’t bothered by them. He will eat them now if there isn’t anything else on offer, but still seems pretty unimpressed
- Bio Gans Organic Dog Food – Well he wolfed this down as he does with most of his meaty food, so I can only assume he liked it!
- Barks and Sparks Doggy Icecream – I have to be honest I haven’t actually made this yet. It is sitting in the cupboard waiting for me to make it for him. He loved ice cream (human kind) so I am thinking he will like this too once I get round to whipping it up for him. Ill update you at some point! So yet again Opie loved his subscription box, especially his toys. He is feeling a very spoilt boy indeed and hopes he will get some more snail mail in the future.
