Afternoon everyone, sorry for lack of posts and being mega behind with the bump and pregnancy update, we are actually about to hit week 25, so think I’ll have to roll a few into one just to catch up, and I promise you there is a gender reveal coming soon, we are just waiting on something special to arrive before we can film it for you all.
We have been super busy over on Cross-Jones Photography recently with lots of adorable newborns coming into the studio and it being the start of wedding season (finally!! We both miss shooting weddings during the quiet months).
I’m not going to make this a long bump update as in all honesty nothing much has happened (other than finding out if bean is a boy or girl) so it’s just a quick post to show off the growing bump and some more interesting maternity clothes than my jeans and tops from the past few posts.
In the 20 week photo I am wearing a Red Herring patterned jersey dress, which is so soft and comfy and in the 21 week photo I am wearing a Heavenly Bump oriental print wrap over dress, this one was a great buy on Amazon for just £20, I am so pleased with it as its pretty and great quality. I am finding I am far more comfortable in dresses and maternity tights at the moment as my jeans and trousers all seem to put pressure under my bump even though they have the over-bump jersey fabric, and bean really isn’t a fan of that. Plus these dresses will last after bean arrives as they all have cross over tops so can be used while nursing!
Other than having our 20 week scan which showed bean was all good, and has long legs, we have just been crossing off the weeks at the moment waiting for the next midwife appointment at the start of March. Now we know what gender bean is I have finally started allowing myself to buy a few items of clothing and start planning the nursery, I’ll put together some posts about that in the coming weeks as we paint and decorate the room and to show you what we have bought so far.
Overall I am feeling much better, the sciatica I had been suffering has eased hugely, my appetite is pretty much back to normal and my sleep isn’t too disrupted, yay! I shot our first wedding last weekend, since finding out we were pregnant and that was a little bit of a challenge. I simply don’t have as much stamina as I did before the pregnancy to stand on my feet and keep working from 8am-10pm. But with lots of support from Jon and a very understanding couple I got through it fine, and really enjoyed being back shooting properly. I simply needed to sit down a little more often, not move as fast as I usually would, and listen to my body when it said it needed a rest. What I have been noticing is my bump is often feeling quite achy and tight around the middle if I have been particularly active or on my feet for a while so I need to just take it easy a little more, I pretty much rested for the whole day (or 2) after the wedding then I was fine again.
That’s all for now! Promise I’ll be back writing more often soon, as I have a huge list of posts waiting to be written, some great reviews and some lovely recipes! And of course another bump watch/ pregnancy update.
You’re looking amazing! xx
Aww thanks!!
