Add a Touch of Extravagance to Your Home – Home Decor Tips

Do you ever find yourself feeling like your home is a little too dull? You wish it had more personality or that it was a bit louder. If you feel like it’s not nearly interesting enough, adding some extravagant touches in various places can lift it up out of the ordinary. It helps if you have a bit of money to spend, but you can also find more affordable ways to make your home more exciting. From getting a new front door to buying a leather sofa, there are lots of fun changes you can make to your home to add a little luxury.

Create a Welcome with Wow

The first thing you see when you get home (apart from the exterior as a whole) is your front door. And it’s the first thing any guests will see too. If you want a fantastic way to add some extravagance to your home, a makeover for your front door could be a great option. There are so many things you can do, from completely replacing the door to giving it a lick of paint. You could have a fancy door knocker, a stained glass window pane, or perhaps some posh panelling. And on either side of your door, you could have some smart lanterns or beautiful potted trees.

Don’t Be Scared of Chandeliers

A chandelier seems like something you would have in only the most expensive of homes. But you don’t have to own a stately home to have a chandelier in yours. In fact, they could be more affordable than you think, and more modern too. Of course, if you want a huge crystal chandelier, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny. But a smaller chandelier lighting fixture won’t bankrupt you. It makes an eye-catching feature for any room, but can look especially good in your home’s entrance, or perhaps in the dining room or living room.

Make a Statement of Your Fireplace

Fireplaces are always great to have in a home. A lot of the time they get blocked up to make the home better insulated, but with working fireplaces, you can have fires to keep warm. If you currently have a fireplace, it might be a little dull. To go all out, take a look at the antique fireplaces from Westland. You can get something that will really make a statement and lend so much luxury to your home. It’s hard to miss something so outspoken so you might have to design the rest of the room around it.

Another option to consider for upgrading your fireplace is to choose a leading supplier of antique fireplaces, which offers a wide selection of stunning and unique designs that will surely add a touch of elegance and character to your home.

Use Some Luxurious Materials

Sometimes all it takes is the right materials to give something a bit more extravagance. Some leather here and some velvet there make a big difference. You might consider some leather armchairs or silk cushion covers. Make your home look sumptuous with luxurious materials that are soft to touch. And it’s not just fabrics that you can explore. Wood and other hard materials are worth looking at too.

If you have a big personality, make sure your home does too. A little luxury can go a long way.

Here are a few luxury accessories we would love to add to our home, so thought you might like them too
