[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Miss Patisserie was actually a company I found at the Birmingham NEC Trade Fair last year, when I was there sourcing new suppliers for my day job at the Tourist Office. When I found out just how local they were, and how great their products were I simply couldn’t resist getting them in stock in the shop, testing out some of their products and getting to know them a little better to feature them here on the blog!
I have managed to meet both Charlotte and Jorge, although on separate occasions so far, and have found them to be such lovely and friendly people, so I was very pleased when they agreed to be featured on the blog and answer a few questions for me. So here is what Charlotte had to say about herself, Jorge and their company – Miss Patisserie!
1. What’s your names and where are you from/based? Charlotte & Jorge. I’m from Wales and Jorge is from Lisbon. We are both based in Penarth, South Wales.
2. When did you launch your company and why did you choose the name? I launched in 2009 and called it Miss Patisserie as I wanted it to have a young, fun and french theme that was cake related (due to our products looking like cakes just to confuse everyone!)

4. What is your favourite of your products? I love the soaps that we have recently created and will be launching next month!
5. What stores (etsy or otherwise!) do you personally love? I love Etsy it is fantastic for inspiration as well as shopping.
6. Your items are all very colourful, but what is your personal style like? I would say my clothes are quite colourful I’m wearing a colourful tie dye skirt right now!
7. Where do you draw inspiration from, for your work and your general style? I love instagram and pinterest for fantastic photography, illustration and ideas. Jorge and I try to travel whenever we can and visit craft fayres.
8. Tell us a random fact about you, we might not already know? I’m grade seven at flute!

Personally I really love how all the Miss Patisserie products look, very fun and colourful, plus their packaging (which they designed themselves and which features their 2 pugs – Louey and Vinny) is just so adorable! And how they smell, believe me they are divine (there will be a review post up soon as I am busy trying out a few of their items at the moment!).
