We are lucky enough to be photographing a wedding at the amazing West Usk Lighthouse, in Newport, in a few weeks. Having never been to the venue before we went for our customary recce of the site, to see what we are going to be working with and help us work out certain areas to shoot in. So as it is such an amazing place I thought I would take the opportunity to get in a little outfit shoot too…check out the Dr Who Tardis![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
I’m slightly excited about this outfit as I haven’t been able to fit this dress for almost a year, but thanks to slimming world I have dropped almost 2 stone since January and this lovely polka dot dress now fits me again! Yay!
The first picture is me playing with the original Usk Lighthouse phone (it doesn’t work sadly!) What is amazing about Usk Lighthouse is that the owners are really fun and quirky and it is reflected in the venue, hence the Dr Who Tardis on the roof! There was also a full size Darlek! And look at that view! It was pretty windy up there though so excuse the mad fringe!

Has anyone else seen West Usk Lighthouse? Or did anyone get married in a lighthouse, I think it is a pretty cool venue to chose and can’t wait for the wedding!

They are beautiful, but in all honesty not that practical! Small rooms, and spiral staircases! Not great for big dresses and heels, lol!

Lol! The lighthouse is pretty wicked! Not usually open to public unless you are going to a wedding or staying there as its a B&B too! We were lucky as we were there to see it for the wedding photography!
