What I Wore – Blue Lace Dress and Daisies

June 16, 2014February 25, 2021 Chantele 3 comments

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Blue Lace Dress[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This is the outfit I wore to celebrate my 4th wedding anniversary with my hubby, we went out for a meal together at the TwoCann Restaurant in Swansea (see our review).

I’ve had this blue lace dress for a few years now, but it hasn’t fitted in quite a while. Luckily, due to being on Slimming World, I have dropped enough weight and it now fits again, which makes me very happy as it is such a pretty dress.

I wear a lot of fit and flair dresses as I think it suits my shape and style, plus I think they look really feminine. I don’t usually wear a lot of blue but I thought this dress was just too pretty with the complete layer of blue lace over the top of it. This blue lace dress was actually a birthday present from my parents, but I had chosen it myself from the Fashion Union website!

Outfit Details:

  • Blue Lace Dress, birthday gift from my parents, Fashion Union
  • Cardigan, Vintage from a Charity Shop
  • Shoes, Ruby Shoo via AGMeek
  • Daisy Garland, birthday gift from hubby, NewLook
  • Necklace, gift from sister via Etsy
  • Handbag, c/o Matalan
  • Bracelet, swapped on MyWardrobe.com
  • Watch, Christmas gift from parents, Vivienne Westwood
  • Ring, Cheap Frills

We ended the evening with an impromptu trip to Verdi’s Ice Cream Parlour which is right down on the tip of mumbles and is luckily open till 9pm! The perfect end to a lovely evening. I had Mint Choc Chip and Cookie Crisp ice-cream, and Jon had Mint Choc Chip and Toffee ice-cream, they were all yummy! We got to watch the sunsetting over the Swansea Bay which was extra lovely (although we didn’t take any pictures of it!)

Next year will be our 5th wedding anniversary so we are hoping to do something a bit bigger to celebrate it, but this romantic meal out was perfect of this year.

I love being able to fit into dresses I haven’t for a while! This one is lovely and I saw a similar one not long ago but in a pastel yellow. I love the pattern!

It is a great feeling! And a pastel yellow one would be lovely!
