5 Pembrokeshire Restaurants We Want to Visit This Summer

April 6, 2022 Chantele Leave a comment

Just like kids have a Summer bucket list of things they would like to do over the summer holidays, I too have a summer bucket list…of places I would like to eat! Today I am sharing a few places I would love to visit, all in Pembrokeshire! Im hoping we can tick a few of these off as parents date night over the school summer holidays.

Pembrokeshire is only an hour or so away from where we live and it is such a beautiful location. Stunning beaches perfect for romantic walks, and a whole host of amazing places to eat!

Here are 5 of the restaurants on my hit list for this summer and what their websites have to say about their chefs, their amazing menu and the restaurants!

If you’re looking for a simple way to find great places to eat, and easily book a table I recommend Squaremeal. All the restaurants I have listed can be booked via the website and you can check out bios and info on head chefs in some of the top restaurants around the country.

Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin Hotel

A former windmill and Wales’s first contemporary art hotel, located in St Davids. The beautiful contemporary dining room is the perfect location to enjoy their carefully sourced from predominantly Pembrokeshire and Welsh suppliers, the raw ingredients are fresh and where possible originate from the surrounding countryside and coast.

The Fernery at The Grove Narberth

The Grove of Narberth is a privately owned luxury country house hotel nestled in the heart of the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside with stunning views of the Preseli Hills. Executive Head Chef Douglas Balish draws his inspiration from their location in the rolling Narberth hills. Expect the best of Pembrokeshire produce together with fabulous vegetables and herbs picked daily from their very own kitchen gardens. Douglas and his kitchen team expertly craft extraordinary plates of food. His cooking style is elegant, contemporary with a clear focus on producing an exceptional balance of flavours.

Coast

This beautiful purpose built restaurant is right on the shoreline – just metres away from the lovely golden sands of Coppet Hall. You’ll have unrivalled views of sea and sky. Head Chef Fred Clapperton and his team prepare dishes with skill, experience, creativity and a good dollop of style. Wherever possible they use locally sourced Pembrokeshire ingredients to create a beautifully balanced menu packed with flavour.

Heywood Brasserie

Based within a beautifully restored Grade-II listed country house hotel, the Bar & Grill offers a perfectly intimate venue to share a romantic meal with your loved one. The menu at Heywood Bar & Grill promises classic cooking of the very highest class, serving only the freshest, local produce that the Pembrokeshire coastline has to offer.

Allt yr Afon at Wolfscastle Country Hotel

The award-winning Wolfscastle Country Hotel is ideal for a romantic parents date night (or a night away!) just 15 minutes from Haverfordwest, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside. The stylish restaurant offers guests a Victorian-style dining room as well as a more informal brasserie. Allt yr Afon sources fresh produce from local Pembrokeshire farmers and the coast, just nine miles from the hotel.
