A few weeks back we were lucky enough to be invited to The Bay Magazines 5th Birthday Party. I have actually been writing for The Bay as their Fashion Editor for over 3 years now, and with Cross-Jones Photography being launched last year, we (Jon and Me) have also become advertisers in the magazine. So we really feel like we are part of the magazine, and have loved being involved with it over the past few years.

The party took place in the new Swansea Uplands Rugby Club, which is a really lovely venue. All the contributors and advertisers were invited, so there were around 150 guests there. It was lovely to chat to some of the other writers as we only ever get to see each other in print, so it was fun meeting face to face.
We all had a few glasses of wine (or coke in Jon’s case) followed by some seriously good hog roast, which came from local company Zing Hospitality. The roast was so tasty, Jon actually ended up having 3 portions! And I’m pretty sure the general consensus was that everyone else enjoyed it too. And of course as it was a super special occasion I thought it called for a new dress, I just so happened to have found a few rather amazing dresses on a site called Lindy Bop – they specialise in 40’s, 50’s and 60’s style dresses, skirts and tops. Having found them I knew one of them was destined to be my party frock for the occasion. So say hello to my new Lindy Bop Dress!
Outfit Info:
- Ophelia Lindy Bop Dress
- Candice Ruby Shoo Shoes
- Vintage Wicker Handbag from Etsy
- Floral Crown was a gift from my parents that they picked up at a craft market
- Necklace was a gift from my Aunty Margaret
- Vintage Twist Bracelet from Stella & Dot
The reason I decided on this specific Lindy Bop Dress is actually a bit backwards. Jon bought me these Ruby Shoo Shoes last year for my birthday and I had yet to wear them as I had nothing that matched the colour, until I found Ophelia! They were a perfect match, so I shall gladly be wearing this pair again. Well thats all for now. We had a great night at the party and are hoping we will still be around when the mag turns 10 and we can party again!
Love this dress, think I’m going to treat myself to the polka dot one for my birthday x
Do it!!! Their dresses are stunning, I have 2 more waiting for an occasion to wear them!
Love the dress and ADORE the shoes! Lovely outfit 🙂

Hi there! Just stopping by to say that we love how you’ve styled your dress to go with your shoes! We stock Ruby Shoo and have done for a while now (as FYFO fans love them!) Is it ok if we Tweet about your backwards styling? I think our followers would love to read your blog! Best Wishes, Katie, FYFO
Hi Katie, of course you can tweet about it! Lol backwards styling happens often as Hubby has bought me a few awesome pairs of Ruby Shoo!
Hi Chantele! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! I love the color of your Lindy Bop dress. It flatters your skin tone very much!
Thank you Cheresa! I love this colour but realised I actually own very little of it!

You look super lovely!
Aww thanks Franca! My new fav dress and shoe companies I think!
Hi, looks fabulous. Are you wearing a petticoat underneath the dress or is that it’s natural style?
There is a crinoline under there! Love my swing dresses and always puff them out if its a special occasion!
