Ive decided I want to start documenting this pairs sibling bond on a monthly basis, after reading Donna’s posts for a number of years now she has inspired me. I love capturing photos of the 2 of them together…although getting them both looking at the camera at the same time can still be a bit of a challenge. Especially as Boo is so fiercely independent at the moment, and Dude is easily distracted meaning his eyes often wander everywhere but towards the camera lens! But when we do capture a shot of them looking, or playing together I love it so much.
This month has been a bit of a crazy one, the kids have been tag teaming who would be sick next! We started the month with Effie being unwell with a sickness bug, then Elian got struck down with an ear infection…followed by a sickness bug, then Effie started cutting a new tooth and subsequently had an awful cold! Elian has been off school for almost 2 weeks, before half term even started! Thankfully we all seem to be back in better health so hopefully November will be better for all of us.
Elian is in full time school, and Effie genuinely misses him when he is gone. She will often point at the door and say Elian after he has left in the morning, and get very excited when I say ‘shall we go fetch Elian from school’. Luckily me and her also have a fairly busy social calendar during the week so we are out a lot.
Thankfully we managed to fit a few fun activities in. At the start of the month we visited one of our favourite place, Folly Farm, I got in a few weekend park trips with the 2 of them while Jon was busy photographing weddings, and towards the end of the month we managed to squeeze in some Pumpkin Picking at Gower Fresh Christmas Tree Farm and also a trip to the West Midlands Safari Park Lantern Festival.
Its honestly been a lovely month, even with all the sickness we’ve dealt with. Its been fun and busy, and we’ve been making the most of the last of the dry weather before the winter kicks in properly. This pair love being together, even though they fight and wind each other up no end at home.
We have halloween trick or treating this evening if the weather is ok and they will be dressed as a ghost and a dinosaur…ill share photos of that next month!
