Taffy Mail Lite Box Review

Taffy Mail Lite Box Review

June 14, 2015February 25, 2022 Chantele 5 comments

I have a bit of a sweet tooth, in fact both me and Jon do, we love nothing more than treating ourselves to some tasty chocolate or sweets (he likes chocolate I am a sweets girl!) so when Taffy Mail got in touch to ask if we wanted to test out one of their boxes we obviously jumped at the chance. Whats better than sweets and chocolate delivered to your door! Plus America has such a huge range of different treats to the UK, it is always fun to try something new. Here is what we thought of our first taste of the Taffy Mail Lite box.taffy mail

Taffy Mail is a monthly American candy delivery box. You decide which size box you want – Lite 4-5 items, Classic 10-12 items or Extra upto 20 items and they deliver it once a month to your door! Simple!!

So here is what we got in our Lite box this month.
Taffymail

  • 5th Avenue Bar – I really don’t know how to explain this bar, it said it was peanut butter in the centre but it was kind of crispy and more like peanut brittle bits, either way though it was tasty! Again the chocolate was rich (sweeter than British chocolate I think) and it was a nice and thick coating on the bar. Again Jon wasn’t as much of a fan, we ate half each, but I would have eaten the whole bar, he liked it but wouldnt buy it if we saw it.
  • White Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups – Hands up, I had never eaten a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup before, and I have no idea why as I love peanut butter!! We could easily have eaten another few packs of these, there are only 2 in a pack! They are very sweet, which means you probably couldn’t eat loads of them, but another pack would have gone down nicely! The white chocolate was sweet and creamy and the peanut butter centre was smooth and just the right amount of salty! Yum!
  • Swedish Fish – I loved the Swedish Fish, can’t really explain what the flavour was because it wasn’t quite streawberry, but it has a fruity taste. They were lovely and chewy, a more dense texture than Haribo sweets that we are used to in the UK. Luckily Jon wasn’t as much of a fan as I was so I got to eat the majority of them.
  • Mint M&M’s – Nom nom nom. I adore M&M’s anyway and anything chocolate mint is a huge fav of mine, so I knew these would be a hit. Both me and Jon loved them and the pack really didn’t last long. I would like to get my hands on these more often, a big bag of them please!!
  • A Twizzler – Now I have tried these before and I’m not a huge fan. They taste a bit like British floral sweets! Does anybody else get that slightly floral soap after taste from them? But I don’t mind eating them if they are there, lol! Don’t often say no to sweets, hehe! But I probably wouldn’t personally chose to buy them.
  • Caramel Apple Lolly – This was my least favourite item in the box. It was a sour apple lolly dipped in caramel, the caramel was nice but I wasn’t a fan of the sour apple lolly, a bit too sharp for me to enjoy, but if you like sour things you would probably love it.

If you fancy getting yourself a box why not take advantage of the offer Taffy Mail have set up for my readers.

Reader Offer: 10% off for 3 months TWOHEARTS10

Hope you enjoy your boxes! Do you have any recommendations for great american treats I should keep an eye out for?

This is my kinda subscription box! It looks great. I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups but I’ve never tried the white chocolate ones – they sound delicious! 🙂
