Kids Fashion // Dressing Elian with TK Maxx

I have always been a big fan of TK Maxx, even before I became a parent. In fact I would say 90% of my wardrobe in my teens and early 20’s was made up of TK Maxx purchases.

Before I had Elian I always shopped there for their unique clothing at really great prices.

Now that I know TK Maxx has such a great range of kids clothes, and always up to 60% less than RRP, I shop there often for great unique pieces for Elian’s wardrobe.

Why Shop in TK Maxx

• Great value for money: TK Maxx is always up to 60% less the RRP, which means your getting quality clothes at a great price you won’t find anywhere else.
• Huge range of brands: From highstreet brands to high end designers, one off lines and up-and-coming designers. I have found a number of brands at TK Maxx that I hadn’t heard of before, but I am now a big fan of and actively seek out when shopping there.
• Unique items: This has always been one of the major attractions for me. I love unique and unusual clothing items, styles you don’t see in every other highstreet store, that you know you’re unlikely to see on lots of other people. This is even more important for me now with Elian. Interesting and fun boys clothes are hard to come by and where you can buy them is often limited. This means you often end up seeing the same supermarket clothing on lots of kids, which is fine, but I like to be able to dress Elian in clothes that aren’t so popular when I can.
• On trend: Even though items are usually one off pieces they are often still on trend. So if the trend of the summer is maxi skirts, then TK Maxx will have lots of different maxi skirts to keep you on trend. This is more true with the adult clothing as kids don’t often follow trend.

• Shop for all the family: We love that we can get clothes for all the family under one roof (plus gifts and homewares!). It makes shopping trips much more fun for everyone as Jon doesn’t have to stand around whilst I shop, he can go check out the mens section (or shoe section) for himself.
• Shop online or in store: Did you know TK Maxx now have a website? So even if you don’t have a local store you can shop online. The website stocks a huge range of products just like the store does, but you can filter items making it a bit quicker and easier to find great buys.
• Frequently changing stock: Stock is replenished weekly meaning there is always something new for you to see. You know there is going to be new items to see and purchase every time you visit
• It’s fun to hunt for hidden gems: Because items are always changing, no 2 stores are the same. So shopping at TK Maxx is a bit of a treasure hunt, you have to hunt out the hidden gems and amazing savings.

Summer Outfits I Bought For Elian

On my recent visit to TK Maxx I decided to pick up some summer outfits for Elian. What is great about the kids lines at TK Maxx is that they often come as full outfits, like the bear tee and jeans below. I love how simple it makes dressing Elian in cute outfits and the great value you get from buying whole outfits at one price. Here are a few of the items I picked up

Bear tee and Jeans Outfit TK Maxx Price £9.99

Jeans are always such a versatile piece of clothing as they go with everything, so I always make sure Elian has a few cute pairs in different shades each season. I adore the little bear on this t-shirt, it’s super cute with the glasses and bow tie, plus its made of a really soft cotton so I know it’s going to be nice and comfortable on him.

These items are from different brands but just go together so well! Another thing I love about TK Maxx is the ability to mix brands so easily, which isn’t so easy with other stores. The joggers are made of a thick cotton so are super durable for the rough play of a toddler. The top is made of a super soft thin fleece, although its summer we don’t have the best track record with warm temps so this is great for when the weather is a bit colder. (That Alien drinks bottle is from TK Maxx too! Only £3 and he takes it everywhere)

These are the same jeans as above but I’ve paired them with this fun graphic print t-shirt…a toddler boy can never have enough t-shirts as they get them dirty very quickly! I love his t-shirts to have cute, fun or bright prints on and this one is just so much fun with comic text, lightning bolts and popcorn graphic. We actaully have the matching hoody to this t-shirt too which I got in the winter!
