Effie was recently asked to be a little model for kids handmade clothing brand Little Acorn Makes, to help launch their new autumn fabrics on their Not On The Hightstreet store. Millie who runs the company got in touch and asked if she could send Effie her Gathered Harem Style Romper in her new Moon Child Fabric, and of course I happily agreed. We adore handmade clothing and getting to work with small businesses little Little Acorn Makes.

Honestly I am in love with the romper we were sent. The fabric is beautiful, and the pattern is perfect for leading us into autumn with its darker colours. The style of this romper is different to others we have. Its far baggier around the mid section and bum, but with fitted chest and straps that don’t slip down her shoulders, and cuffed on the ankles so they don’t slip under her feet. Making it perfect for Effie at the moment because she is constantly moving, climbing and exploring things. Her clothing needs to be able to move as freely as she does, and withstand how active she is! These would be great if you cloth bum too, as lots of butt space!!
The quality on Millies work is impeccable – and believe me I have bought a lot of handmade clothing from dozens of different brands over the last few years, and her workmanship is some of the best I have seen! Beautiful seams and hems, very well put together and definitely built to last lots of wear.
Millie also stocks a stunning Sunflower Fabric that I am lusting after at the moment! Effie will definitely need another of these rompers in the Sunflower fabric for next spring I think! Her other new autumn/winter fabrics will be uploaded to the shop soon, so keep your eyes peeled if you fancy checking them out.
